Application
The substrate must be of sound quality and of adequate
strength. Concrete substrates must be free from dirt,
grease, oil, fats, or any other contaminant. To ensure a
sound surface, all laitance should be removed by
mechanical preparation or grit blasting. New concrete
should be at least 28 days old. Very smooth substrates
must be prepared mechanically. For metal, all rust, oil and
grease etc. must be removed. Once mixed, Sikadur Epoxy
Repair Kit can be trowelled directly onto the surface
without the need for priming. On porous substrates, priming
may be required. Apply Sikadur Epoxy Repair Kit and
compact into place. Trowel may be moistened with a
solvent based wipe (do not use white spirit) to achieve a
smooth finish and to stop material sticking to trowel. Do not
overwet with solvent. Use all mixed material within the pot
life period. Pot life is 45 minutes @20OC. Cure time varies
with temperature and thickness of application. Low
temperatures can extend cure considerably. 10OC and
above, cure is substantially complete overnight, but full
chemical resistance is not obtained until after 7 days. For

Application
The final strength of the anchor depends on the hole size,
anchor depth, moisture level and cleanliness. Hammer
drilled holes must be cleaned with the correct size spiral
brush and blown clean with an air pump. Attach the static
mixing nozzle to the Sika AnchorFix-1 cartridge and
pump 2-4 times until uniformly mixed grey resin is
extruded. Fill the anchor hole from the base upwards and
insert the fixing with a twisting movement before the resin
starts to gel. Do not apply initial load until cure time is
reached. For hollow substrates, insert the correct
perforated sleeve type into drilled hole before filling in the
same manner as above. For full details, cure times,
limitations etc. refer to product label, data sheet or contact

Application
Sub floors must be smooth, permanently dry, compact,
without cracks, clean and free from contaminants which
may affect adhesion. Prepare anhydrite screeds according
to the manufacturers instructions and prime them with
SikaBond 5500S diluted 1:1 with Thinner EG. Always
prime heated sub floors with SikaBond 5500 S diluted 1:1
with Thinner EG. Mix well before use. Spread the adhesive
uniformly on the sub floor with a suitable notched trowel
and apply the wood. Press firmly and evenly across the
wood surface to ensure complete contact with the
adhesive. Important - ensure you leave a 10-12 mm
expansion gap along the walls for the wood to expand.
Avoid gluing the sides of the parquet elements. Working
time: Approx. 10 minutes depending on the quantity
applied. Setting time: Final setting is at least 48 hours.
Setting time depends on room conditions and on sub floor
absorbency. Sanding and/or lacquering of the floor can
follow only after its full cure.
Working temperature: Do not use at a temperature lower
than +10C or when relative humidity of the air is higher
than 75%. For details, limitations etc. refer to the product
label, data sheet or contact Sika Limited.
Approximate Consumption: .80 - 1.20kg per m2
depending on trowel and sub-floor.

x 5mm at 10mm centres) to give a ribbed bed on the
surface, into which tiles are firmly bedded with a twist and
slide action. The position of the tiles can be adjusted up to 10
minutes after initial fixing. The final adhesive bed depth
should be in the range of 2 to 3mm with grout joints at least
2mm. Grouting may proceed as soon as the tile bed is
sufficiently firm. Open time is approx 20 minutes and initial
drying time will be 24 hours (porous walls). For details,
limitations etc. refer to product label or contact Sika Limited.
Approximate Consumption: Using a 150mm x 150mm x
6mm tile with 2mm joint width, fix and grout rate will be
approximately 2.5kg per m2.
