Some students dont understand.

PROCEDURES
Teacher invites students to open their
SB at page 20, to read the two
questions (1a) and then to listen to the
three dialogues and find out what
people want to buy and if they buy
anything. She plays the tape, stopping
after each dialogue to check students
understanding.
She writes eventual unfamiliar words
on the board.
Then she asks students about
problems people had with the clothes.
She plays the tape again if necessary.
POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
Teacher clarifies any problems with
understanding words.

Teacher asks students to complete the


table with the opposites of the
adjectives. She checks what they write
and invites them to repeat the words.
She writes on the board the
pronunciation of loose /lu:s/ and
tight /taIt/.
She writes on the board: This jumper

is too dark. She invites students to say
the same thing using the adjective
meaning the opposite: Its not light
enough. She explains that the first
sentence should mention an item of
clothing, but in the second it should be
replaced by it or them. Then she
invites them to write the sentences in
their notebooks working in pairs.

Teacher invites some volunteers to make some
sentences.

Teacher invites students to look at the
exercise 3. There is a pattern for a
dialogue. She invites three volunteers
(students A and B are customers in a
clothes shop; student C is a shop
assistant) to make a dialogue
following the pattern in their book and
to act it in front of the class.
