Honor by Mexican President Vicente Fox

Conservation non-profit organization focused on conservation science and the key
relationships between environmental change and wildlife and human health,
Corporate announced that Dr. Rodrigo A. Medellin, a member of the Wildlife Trust
Responsibility Alliance, has won the 2004 Nature Conservation Award for Academic Research by
Tourism the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas in Mexico. Mexican President
Vicente Fox awarded the honor on November 27, 2004 in Yum Balam, Quintana Roo,
Events Mexico.
Agriculture
Government An internationally respected mammalogist, Dr. Medellin is Professor of Ecology
at the University of Mexico. He is President of the Board of Directors of the
Legal & Regulatory American Society of Mammalogists, and serves on a task force of the Millenium
Natural Resources Project of the United Nations, addressing the preservation of natural
resources.
Science & Technology
Transportation Dr. Medellin is also Director of the Program for Conservation of Bats in
Mexico, and is an advisor to the Mexican government on wildlife issues.
