ANAPANASATI MEDITATION

In Ancient Pali language...

ana means in - breath
apana means out - breath
sati means to - be - one - with
Therefore, the total complex word... ANAPANASATI... means... to keep one's total attention and
awareness only on one's normal breathing process.
No mantra is to be chanted. No form of any deity is to be entertained. No pranayama practices...
like kumbhaka... i.e. holding the breath... should be attempted.
Meditation should be undertaken... every day... regularly. Any time... and any place... is right for
Meditation.
Any comfortable sitting posture can be taken. Spine should be as comfortable as possible. Hands
should be clasped... and eyes should be closed.
Routine wanderings of the mind should be cut right away, as and when they keep arising. Attention
of the mind should constantly be brought back to the chosen task on hand... i.e.,... conscious
observation of the breath.
PROCESS OF MEDITATION
Close your eyes and relax your body.... take all the time you need to get comfortable ..... shift
muscles ..... stretch and relax ..... make sure your spine and neck are not held stiffly... there is no
stiffness here ..... just comfort, the beginning of calm ..... there is no hurry now ..... there is nothing
else to do..... or think about ..... just relax.
notice your breath .....
inhale slowly ......
exhale slowly.....
let your breath sink in and out .....
your breath is a rhythm of calm.....
follow your breath.....
be still.....
be your breath.....
use your mind to follow
your breath ..... in ..... out..... in ..... out.....
that is all.....
be your breath.....
be your breath.....
be still..... be still..... be still..... be still.....
HOW LONG TO MEDITATE ?
One should sit for a minimum of as many minutes as correspond to the age of the person.
If a person is aged ten years, the minimum time required to still the restless waves of the mind...
for that particular ten year old boy or girl... is ten minutes. Similarly, if the age of a boy or girl is
fifteen years, then the minimum time required to still the restless waves of the mind is fifteen

minutes.
Again, if the age of a person is forty, then the person should meditate for a minimum of forty
minutes per session.
The above indicates only the minimum time... that is absolutely required... for any beginner in
meditation. However, for a more senior seeker, more time should invariably be allocated .
NATURAL RHYTHM OF THE BREATH
The great principle of Taoism is ...
Easy is Right, Right is Easy
Easy is Natural, Natural is Easy
Natural is Right, Right is Natural
Physical body has its own natural and easy rhythm of the breath. In meditation, the mind has to
become totally attuned to the normal rhythmic nature of the breath of the physical body.
Exercises such as deep breathing should not be resorted to.
Holding the breath inside, or outside, is not to be attempted.
MEDITATION IS NOT CONTEMPLATION !
In English language, the phrase meditate upon is often used, which means contemplate deeply...
or... reflect upon the pro's and con's... or... ponder on etc.
However, in the language of Spiritual Science, the term meditation refers to emptiness of the
mind... or... making the mind empty.
MEDITATION IS NOT PRAYER !
What is prayer ?
Prayer is nothing but a petition to some hypothetical unknown power, with an urgent request to
take care of all of one's difficulties !
However, in the science of meditation, there are no hypotheses. The science of meditation is an
empirical science. Therefore, the concept of meditation is diametrically opposite to the concept of
prayer.
MEDITATION... IS... SEEING... WITH THE THIRD EYE !
Primarily, meditation is stilling all the restless waves of the mind. Secondarily, meditation is... the
natural... seeing or witnessing activity of the self or consciousness... when all the thoughts in the
mind are totally absent.
In the language of Spiritual of Science... third eye... is the name given to the natural seeing activity
of the self.

BENEFITS OF MEDITATION

Healing of all diseases is immediate

All physical afflictions are because of mental worries. All mental worries are because of
intellectual immaturity. Intellectual immaturity is because of lack of spiritual wisdom and lack of
spiritual energy. Through meditation, when we get abundant spiritual wisdom and spiritual energy,
the intellect becomes mature. By and by all mental worries cease. Consequently, all physical
afflictions disappear.
Meditation is the only way to heal diseases. All diseases are primarily because of previous
negative karma. Until and unless the negative karma is neutralised, the disease will not vanish ;
no medicine will be of any help to clear the negative karma. No doctor has any knowledge on
karmic matters and karmic science ; therefore, no allopathic doctor can give any real advice.
Memory power becomes increased
The abundant spiritual energy gained in meditation helps the brain to work more efficiently and to
its maximum capacity ; therefore, meditation helps the memory power tremendously.
Wasteful habits die a natural death
There are several wasteful habits like over-eating, over-sleeping, over-talking, over-thinking, overdrinking etc., etc. With the abundant spiritual wisdom and spiritual energy obtained from
meditation, all the wasteful habits die naturally.
Mind always stays in a peaceful and joyful state
Life is so full of defeats, insults and pains... for any person. However, for a person of spiritual
knowledge and spiritual energy, life is always peaceful and joyful inspite of any number of
defeats, insults and pains.
All physical / mental work gets done with greater efficiency

In the presence of abundant

spiritual wisdom and spiritual
energy, all work, be it
physical or be it mental, gets
done with greater efficiency.
In less time, more work is
achieved. With least
resources, commendable
work gets done.

Sleep-time requirements get reduced

Abundant spiritual energy is obtained in meditation. Only a fraction of that energy is obtained
during sleep. Half-an-hour of deep meditation is equivalent to six hours of deep sleep in terms of
rest for the body and energy for the mind obtained.
Inter-personal relationships become more qualitative and fulfilling

Lack of spiritual wisdom is the only reason why inter-personal relationships are so very
unqualitative and unfulfilling. In the presence of spiritual wisdom all inter-personal relationships
become highly qualitative and totally fulfilling.
Thought power is tremendously increased
Thoughts need power to reach their targets. In a restless state of mind all thoughts are produced
with least power. Therefore, they don't reach their target. However, in the presence of a restful
state of mind, thoughts acquire great power and all intentions get actualized.

Ability to discern rights and wrongs is sharpened

What to do ? What not to do ?... This is always a million dollar question ! What is right ? What is
wrong ? We are in a perpetual dilemma ! However, such dilemmas are only for the spiritually
ignorant person. For a spiritually wise person there are no million dollar questions ; there are no
dilemmas.
Purpose of life is better understood
We are all born with a purpose, with a mission, with a design, with a plan. Only the spiritually
experienced persons can understand and be aware of their particular purpose, mission, design
and plan in their lives.

RESTLESS WAVES OF THE MIND

Ancient Seers of India gave the term... chitta... to the Restless Waves of the Mind. Thus, Rishi
Pathanjali defined yoga as chitta vritthi nirodhaha.
Meditation, in the beginning, is making all the restless waves of the mind... restful. Soon, a deep
restful state of mind is attained as all the all the restless waves of the mind totally cease !
Meditation is the total cessation of
all the restless waves of the mind.
Man is basically troubled by the restless nature of the mind. The restless waves of the mind result
in unwanted dissipation of the energy of the soul. When the soul energy is thus dissipated, the
physical body becomes week and more susceptible to attacks from various external sources,
resulting in various disease, early aging and finally early death.
Ability to concentrate on issues at hand is deeply hampered by the restless waves of the mind.
The power of memory becomes impaired. The more the restless waves of the mind, the more the
ineffectiveness of the person to attend to any work and it has to be remembered that mind is
naturally restless.
The naturally restless mind is the common lot of all persons who do not cultivate the mind. An
uncultivated land, of course, becomes full of weeds. Similarly an uncultivated mind becomes full
of unwanted thoughts.

CULTIVATION
OF
THE RESTLESS WAVES OF THE MIND
Cultivation of the restless waves of the mind is achieved when the mind is concentrated on any
given work. The more a person concentrates himself on any given work, the more the mind of the
person becomes cultivated and to that extent the restless nature of the mind becomes less. And,
to the extent the mind becomes less restless, to that extent the energy of the physical body
becomes more.
Now, meditation is the most fruitful way of cultivation of the restless waves of the mind. Here the
mind has to become concentrated on the breath. When the mind gets concentrated on the breath,
and we keep to the practice of the same, a beautiful thing happens ! The mind becomes totally
restful ! The restless waves of the mind totally cease ! A calm, peaceful and tranquil mind is
established ! As more and more time is spent in that calmness, in that tranquility, a most
wonderful thing again happiness ! The mind becomes empty... sans any thoughts !
When the mind is, thus, totally empty, huge amounts of cosmic energy floods in to the body. More
and more practice of meditation means, more and more establishment of great emptiness in the
mind. More the empties of the mind, more the inflow of cosmic energy. When the physical body
gets saturated with cosmic energy, the natural consequence is the great happening of seeing !
A deep meditator begins to see, in the beginning flashes of beautiful nature... hitherto never seen
or experienced. These flashes of nature are usually from several alternate frequency realities.

Alternate realities are realities other than the reality we are presently, or currently, engaged in.
Each particular reality system exists with a different frequency. Each frequency reality, indeed, is,
an infinite universe. The total cosmos consists of an infinite number of frequency universes.
At any given instant, a soul is tuned to only one frequency universe, which is invariably
mistaken... by the particular soul... to be the only reality !
However, in meditation, a given soul breaks out of the cocoon of the current concept of reality.
New reality systems are experienced. More and more meditation leads to a grand
understanding... through personal experience... of the tremendous reality of the cosmos. All this is
called as enlightenment.
INWARDING OF THE OUTER SENSES
What happens to us when we are one with our breath ? We encounter a wonderful... new... inner
silence !
Meditation means closing the eyes and being with the breath for a long, long time. Tremendous
patience is required. Whatever may be the turbulence in the mind, eyes should not be opened.
The attention should be constantly be brought back on to the breath. The mind wanders... but it
should be brought back... to... the... breath.
Soon, we will find that the magnitude of breath becomes shorter and shorter. Finally, the breath
becomes so small and so short that it seems to take place only in the upper part of the nose.
Slowly, and slowly... by and by... we find, that the restless waves of the mind have totally
ceased... and, we are in a state of deep inner silence.
We enter into such a deep inner silence that we may totally loose the awareness of our breathing
process too ; we may not even hear outer sounds ; we go beyond them.
In this stage of deep inner silence, a total inwarding of the outer senses happens. The outer
senses in effect become the inner senses !
With the inner senses, we perceive inner worlds ! There are several frequencies of inner worlds !
The purpose of meditation is to activate the inner senses, encounter the inner worlds and have
contacts with Masters of the Inner Worlds.
Spiritual Wisdom is obtained from the Masters of the Inner Worlds. More and more meditation
leads to more and more spiritual wisdom. More and more spiritual wisdom means more and more
health, vigor and energy in the physical body.

PYRAMID POWER
THE GREAT PYRAMID
The Pyramid is a solid structure with four triangular sloping sides resting on a square base... and
the four apices joining at a point forming the apex of the pyramid. Each triangular sloping face is
an isosceles triangle, with the two sloping sides being equal and the base angle equal. The length
of the equal sides are all equal and all are similar to each other and of equal area.

The fact that a geometric design collects and radiates energy was known to Ancient Egyptians,
more than 10,000 years ago. They utilized the concept when they built their pyramids. The
pyramids are storehouses of energy drawn from the universe. The Power of the Pyramid was
obtained through a blending of the radiated cosmic energy with that of the gravitational force of
earth.
Scholars are aware that The Great Pyramid at Gizeh was built as a place and as an instrument of
initiation into altered and higher states of consciousness,... through the mechanism of conscious
out-of-body experiences.

EXPERIMENTS CONDUCTED IN MAN - MADE PYRAMIDS

Several experiments conducted in man-made pyramids have revealed pyramid powers... which
can be broadly classified as follows:
preservation
pealing
out-of-body experiences
PRESERVATION : Pyramid energy preserves fruit, milk and other perishables ; taste of coffee,
wine, fruit juices, etc., is improved ; used razors, knives get sharpened ; acts as a room freshener,
foul smells disappear.
HEALING : Wounds, boils and bruises heal quicker ; reduces over-weight and increases
resistance to diseases ; gives relief to and cures asthma, toothaches, migraine, common cold,
high B.P., arthritis, palpitation of heart, epilepsy, insomnia etc.
Drinking pyramid energized water cures conjunctivitis, other eye problems; helps digestion ; gives
the skin a healthy and youthful glow.
OUT - OF - BODY EXPERIENCES : Out-of-body experiences are much easier if done inside a
pyramid. Dreams become clearer and they take the quality of normal working state.

PYRAMID CONSTRUCTION
Pyramids can be made from any material. For every one foot of height, the corresponding sides
would be 1.4945 feet and base, 1.5708 feet. Side is measured from corner to the apex, and
height is the vertical height from the apex to the base, i.e., perpendicular from the apex to the
base.

When the sides of the pyramid are in place, they will be forming an angle of 52 degrees 51

The pyramid must be aligned to the four cardinal points i.e., north, east, south and west ; one of
the sides can be used as the north-south axis.

PYRAMID MEDITATION
Meditation done inside a pyramid, or underneath a pyramid, is called as pyramid meditation.
Many people experience feelings ranging from calmness to extreme euphoria during their
meditation sessions inside the pyramids.
Most people who have experimented with pyramid meditation, describe themselves as
experiencing a total relaxation of their body, followed by the shutting out of unnecessary external
stimuli and irrelevant thoughts and finally achieving an altered state of consciousness which
allows them to concentrate on deeper inner levels.
Pyramids provide most effective high-energy environments for beginners of meditation. Pyramids
help to reduce the level of stress and tension in the physical body.

SPIRITUAL SCIENCE
AND
ENLIGHTENMENT
True religion and true spirituality have always been coming out with so many facts about Life after
Death ; Nature of Soul, Purpose of Life etc.
Following are the facts revealed by the spiritual science concerning the above and the fallacies
commonly held by atheists and agnostics concerning the same.

FALLACY

FACT

This physical body is ' I '.

The physical body is not the total ' I ' ; physical body
is just one of our seven bodies.

Birth is the beginning of ' I ' and

death... the end.

Before birth ' I ' was; and ' I ' continues to exist even
after the death of the physical body.

Things exit by chance; events

happen by chance.

Nothing happens by chance; everything happens by

choice.

The physical, visible universe is the There are infinite number of frequency universes, out

of which our present, visible universe, is just one.
There are living beings, and nonliving things.

Everything is a speck of ECK, i.e., energy,

consciousness and knowledge right up to the atoms
and sub- atomic particles, and beyond ; there is
absolutely no non-living thing.

There is a definite purpose, a definite plan, and a

definite goal to all specks of ECK. Every being is

here to enjoy, to explore and to evolve in its own
chosen fashion.

Following are the some of the fallacies, again, commonly held by the pseudo-religious and the
half-baked godly people and the corresponding actual facts as discovered by the masters of
spiritual science.

FALLACY

FACT

God is somewhere in heaven; we God is not a person ! God is the fundamental

is God. We only have to realise this and evolve.
Destiny is not a fixed one. We make our own reality

reap what we ourselves sow.
We have to forget about ourselves
and live only to help others. In
short, we have to be absolutely
selfless.

Each person can help only himself / herself. One can

never help others in real terms. One can only reveal
the knowledge to others who wish to help themselves.
One can only be an inspiration to the others.

We have to repress our emotions

desires and mortify our body and
self to attain salvation.

There should never be any repression We are here to

express ourselves ; ever so. Physical body should
never be subjected to any mortification. We make our
own suffering through our false belief systems.

Suffering is God given, and we

should always strive to
courageously endure.

When we experience suffering, the cause should be

immediately identified and uprooted.

Salvation means union and

irreversible amalgamation of the
jeevatma and the paramatma..

Salvation means self-realization, and knowing that we

alone are responsible for our respective destinies.

Those who realise and discard the wrong beliefs, through the study of Spiritual Science, widen
their consciousness and become rooted in facts, and as such, grow stronger and happier by the
hour. In no time; mental turbulence is replaced by metal tranquility. Trivial, futile and parasitic
activities give way to significant, effective and symbiotic activities
