DETAILS OF PROCEDURE:

In the morning the mechanical and the electrical supervisors will issue the sheet to
journeyman who is highlighted to take the present check and record accordingly on
the daily preventative maintenance check sheet of the plant and auxiliaries

Check turbo speed and air pressure. check if balance and record the same.

Check V/C pump and cooler for leaking gland and seals

Check L/O filters for leaks on pipes and covers. Record if L/H or R/H filter is
in service and differential pressure

Check all transfer pumps for leaks on pipes and gland seal

Check air compressor both mechanical and electrical for the following;

Journeyman after carrying out checks listed above will then present the daily
preventative check sheet to their supervisor in which he will check to find if
there is any defects on plant and equipment.

Supervisor will check and conform before the sign off of the sheet and
present it to the Maintenance Engineer or Senior Diesel Generation Engineer

If there is fault that needs urgent attention then with the permission of the
Maintenance Engineer or Senior Diesel Generation Engineer the plant or
equipment is given prior to do repairs

Maintenance Engineer or Senior Diesel Generation Engineer then sign off the
sheet and it is return to the supervisors to keep as further reference
