Classic Novel
Due: Feb. 19
Many times after reading a book, we as readers have ideas about what “should have happened.” For this book report,
you get to do that. You are going to create an extra chapter for the book you read. Your extra chapter can go anywhere
in the story that you want. Here is how you will do it.
1. After reading your classic novel, fill in the Extra Chapter Organizer found on the back of this page.
2. Now that you have all the details worked out, you will create and type your extra chapter.
- Chapter title will be centered at top in 12 point font.
- Chapter body will be 2 spaces below the title.
- Chapter body will be typed in 12 point font, single spaced with one inch margins.
- Must be AT LEAST 2 pages and AT MOST 5 pages.
- Include the details that you worked out in your organizer.
3. Staple the Extra Chapter Organizer with your name on it to the front of your typed pages.
4. Hand in!
You will be graded on writing process (prewriting, proofreading), content (accuracy, plot continuity, resolution of
story) and meeting length requirements.
