Respected Sir,

We the people of UTTARAKHAND are sending you this e-mail to attract your attention
towards a very sensitive matter related to the sentiments of Uttarakhandi people. Just for
your kind information, we would like to remind you that during the "UTTARAKHAND
MOVEMENT” the whole "PAHAD" was agitating during the autumn of 1994. At that
time the brutality of the state government crossed the limits. During 1994 the whole hill
region of the then U.P. fought for a separate hill state. The activists, who were part of the
agitation for the separate state of Uttarakhand, were going to Delhi to stage a dharna at
Raj Ghat on Gandhi Jayanti, as they found that the day would be perfect for a non-violent
protest, the following day, when alleged unprovoked police firing in the night of October
1, 1994 led to the death of six activists, and some innocent hilly women were allegedly
raped and molested in the ensuing melee. Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav was Chief Minister
of Uttar Pradesh, when the incident occurred. The place where this incident occurred is
"RAMPUR TIRAHA" near Muzzafarnagar. At midnight the buses were stopped at
Rampur Tiraha, by Pac on the order of DM of Muzzafarnagar. When the Uttarakhand
activists opposed it, then they were beaten and all of a sudden the police force turned into
devil force and whatever happened after that is a blot on humanity. After this incident the
whole Uttarakhand was put into curfew. Due to widespread anger of people,
CBI was handed over cases, related to that ill-fated incident commonly known as
"RAMPUR TIRAHA KAND".

Today in the view of government is taking "Ruchika Girhotra's" molestation case

seriously, we the people of Uttarakhand seek a new hope of justice because at the
moment the CBI cases against the policemen accused in "RAMPUR TIRAHA KAND"
are not being handled by the CBI seriously and it is even alleged that CBI is working
under pressure of some politicians, and therefore in the case of Rampur Tiraha Kand
accused were set free, and after public uproar in Uttarakhand the CBI was forced to file
the re-petition. We the people of Uttarakhand urge you to see into the cases related to
"RAMPUR TIRAHA KAND".

This matter is related to strong sentiments of Uttarakhandi people. Our political power is
less and also our state holds less importance in national politics, but we have full faith in
judiciary and our country's government. So it is our deep request to you to please have a
look into the issue and we demand that best lawyers of CBI should be given charge of
these cases.

Please sir, we carry a lot of hope that our reasonable request will definitely be heard by
you, we request you to have a overview of all the case, and to see what can be done to do
justice to people of Uttarakhand. To remind you, Uttarakhand government is also a party
in this case.

The people of Uttarakhand are known for their innocence and hard work, your one
decision can make or break our innocence. We have a lot of hopes from you.
