Full Title: Director of Operational Safety, Security, Emergency Planning
Description:
Guarantee that the operating standard for all security related functions at all shopping malls meets or exceeds the
best practices in the industry. Work with the selected security contractors, consultants, and corporate property
management teams to attain said standards. Provide a formal emergency response plan that is routinely executed
and flawlessly demonstrated for each corporate property.
The ideal candidate must:
-Possess 10-15+ years experience in corporate security.
-Define, identify and classify critical assets, assesses threats and vulnerabilities regarding those assets and
implements safeguard recommendations.
-Work in tandem with the Director of National Operations to provide contract security services to all corporate
properties.
-Liaise with and facilitate execution of corporate operating security standards through the contract security
providers
-Define and communicate operating security standards for all aspects of shopping center security including, but
not limited to; building security, common area management, retailer assistance, risk management and loss
prevention, security technology, reporting and documentation, education and communication.
-Ensure through the contractors and center management teams that each property maintains corporate expectation
of proper relationship and communication with the appropriate law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and
other emergency response services within the individual communities.
-Investigate, manage and communicate all claims or legal actions against or potentially against corporation arising
from security related activities at all properties.
-Provide a comprehensive emergency response plan for each property that meets corporations standards but also
relates to the individual facility variables.
-Coordinate executive management of emergency response drills for each shopping center. Provide guidance for
each property.
-Maintain high-level relationships with, but not limited to Homeland Security, Secret Service.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary for this position will be within the range noted, plus 15 percent performance bonus. Generous relocation
package.
