LDRPSisdesignedtobeveryflexiblesothatyoucanchangeit
asneededtomeetthespecificstandardsandrequirementsof

groupsthatprovideservicesasSuppliers,youcanrenamethe
VendorOrgsdictionary.
UsingtheScreenEditor,youcanaddnewfieldsandeditexisting
onestochangefieldlengths,makefieldsrequired,andcreate
picklistsofanswerstochoosefromwhenworkingonthescreen.

Keepingyourplansorganizedinalogicalwayisimportanttoa
comprehensivebusinesscontinuityprogram.Youlldefinethree
componentstoorganizeyourplans:
Youlldefinetheplanstructureasahierarchyofyour
organizationalsetupand/orlocationsinwhichyour
companyhasapresence.
Youlladdfolderstofurthercategorizethelevels
withintheplanstructureandprovidelogicalstorage
foryourplans.
Youllcreateplanstoaddresseachofyourcompanys
continuityconcernsandaddthemtotheappropriate
folders.
PlanStructuregivesyoutheabilitytosetupplansasyoulike,
withtheflexibilitytomaintainseparateonesforeachlocation,
site,building,division,department,businessunit,orprocessin
yourorganization.Ithelpsyoueasilyaccessyourplansand
understandtherelationshipsbetweenlocations,buildings,floors
anddepartments.ItalsosupportsyourSecurityneeds,assuring
thatplanbuildershaveaccesstoonlythoseplanstheyare
intendedtosee.

Spendalittletimebrainstormingbeforedefiningtheselevelsin
LDRPStodevelopagoodideaofhowyouwillwantyourplans
tobeorganized.Sometipsfordefiningplanstructures:
WhileyoucansetupboththeGeographyand
Organizationstructures,youarenotrequiredto,andit
maymakesensetochoosetheonethatworksbestfor
youandignoretheother.
Aplancanbestoredinmultiplefolders,eitherinthe
sameplanstructureordifferentstructures.For
example,youcouldstoreaplaninthePennsylvaniaand
HarrisburgfolderswithintheGeographyplanstructure,
andintheTradingfolderwithintheOrganizationplan
structure.Keepinmindthattheseoccurrencesarethe
sameplan,notcopies.
LevelnameswithintheOrganizationplanstructureare
uniquefromthosewithintheGeographyplan
structure.
Whenusersviewtheplanstructure,suchaswhenthey
selectplansforprinting,theyseethenumberoflevels
specifiedthroughFeatureConfiguration.Theywillbe
abletoexpandthetreetoseeadditionallevels.For
