While making this report I come across many hurdles and pleasant experience.

learnings and experiences gained regarding Automation Status of the Sonali
Bank, Dhaka. Despite the several constraints, I gave my all efforts to make this

This internship report has been prepared with a span of 45 days. The study
deals with Automation Status of Sonali Bank Limited. There I found many
people expanded their friendly hand to complete my report. Without them it
would be impossible to finish this report.
First of all, I owe much to my honorable teacher Md. Akram Hossain who
helped me to make the final report. He gave me the guidelines to make the
complete and qualified report.
I like to thank Md. Abdur Rahman (Branch Manager) who gave me the
opportunity to make a report on Automation Status of Sonali Bank

Software development ) who gave me the opportunity to work with his

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
An internship program is very important & essential for acquiring experience
through learning and spreading the scope of Knowledge. I have done my
internship program in Sonali Bank, Kawran Bazar Branch, Dhaka.
Sonali Bank is the largest commercial Bank of Bangladesh. The Bank is fully
owned by the government of the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh. Sonali bank
has automated its branches with the most modern and demanding sophisticated
Core Banking Solution software from Polaris Inc. One of Sonali Banks newest
innovations is Remittance Management System + or RMS+ which is a very fast
online transfer system of remittance to a customers bank account.
Sonali Bank Limited is a member of Q-Cash ATM network. At present the bank
has own 53 ATM booths. Sonali Bank's ATM cardholders enjoy the access to the
ATMs and POS of Dutch Bangla Bank Ltd. and Brac Bank Ltd. besides those of
Q-Cash consortium. Sonali Bank recently launched Credit Card.
At present 109
branches of Sonali Banks are included in the Online Any
Branch Banking (ABB) network. SMS Banking service is runnig in 73 branches.
The bank is seriously working on connecting all branches in the Real-time Online
Banking network gradually. Branches having ABB facility are also rendering SMS
banking services.
In this report I mention the overall performance of Sonali Bank for the economic
development of Bangladesh. I also mention the findings of my report and describe
the recommendation to overcome the limitation.
I have taken all the reasonable care to ensure the accuracy and quality to make
the report standard. And I believe that it has included all the necessary
information to be relevant, reliable and useful.
