Queen Elizabeth II

The serving monarch, Queen Elizabeth II was crowned at Westminster Abbey in June 1953.
She was aged just 25. She married Philip Mountbatten, Prince of Greece and Denmark in 1947, and
gave birth to three sons and a daughter: Charles, Andrew, Edward and Anne. Queen Elizabeth has
now reigned for 61 years.The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's child will be the Queen's third
great-grandchild.
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh
Prince Philip Mountbatten married Elizabeth Windsor in 1947.The Queen gave him the title of Lord
High Admiral to celebrate his 90th birthday in 2011.
Diana, Princess of Wales
The mother of Princes William and Harry. Lady Diana Spencer married Prince Charles in 1981 with
the ceremony watched by 750 million TV viewers worldwide. She and Charles had two sons.
Well-known for her charity work and popularity with the public, she died in a Paris car crash
alongside Dodi Fayed in 1997.
Prince Charles
The eldest child of Queen Elizabeth II. Charles - the Prince of Wales - is primary heir to the throne.
After studying at Trinity College he married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981. The couple separated in
1992 and Diana died in a car crash five years later. In 2005, the Prince married his former mistress
Camilla Parker Bowles, and has become well known for his charity work.
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall
The second wife of Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles. Princess Diana blamed Camilla for her
separation from Charles.The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's baby will be a sixth grandchild for
Camilla.
Princess Anne, the Princess Royal
The Queen's only daughter, Princess Anne is aunt to Princes William and Harry. She married
Captain Mark Phillips in 1973 and survived an unsuccessful kidnapping attempt the same year. She
is mother to Peter and Zara. She and Captain Phillips divorced in 1992 and she married Vice
Admiral Timothy Laurence later that year.
Captain Mark Phillips
Captain Mark Phillips served in the army before meeting the Queen's only daughter Princess Anne.
The pair married in 1973 and had two children Peter and Zara. They divorced in 1992. He went on
to marry Sandy Pflueger in 1997, though the couple announced their intention to divorce last year.
Sarah, Duchess of York
Sarah Ferguson married Prince Andrew in 1986 and the couple have two daughters, Princesses
Beatrice and Eugenie, who are sixth and seventh in line to the throne.
Prince Andrew, Duke of York

Uncle to Princes William and Harry, brother to Prince Charles and fourth in line to the throne.
Previously the UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, he married
Sarah Ferguson in 1986. The couple had two daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie before divorcing 10
years later.
Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
Aunt to princes William and Harry through her husband Edward, Earl of Wessex, whom she
married in 1999. The couple have two children, Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn.

Seventh in line to the throne, Edward is expected to take on the title of Duke of Edinburgh after his
father.
Prince William, Duke of Cambridge
The elder son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, William is second-in-line to the throne.
His parents' marriage broke down during his childhood, and his mother was killed in a car crash in
Paris when he was just 15. William studied Geography at St Andrews University, where he met his
wife Catherine Middleton. William then trained as an officer at the Sandhurst Royal Military
Academy and in 2010 qualified as an RAF search and rescue pilot. He married Middleton on 29
April 2011 at Westminster Abbey, and on 3 December 2012 it was announced the pair were
expecting their first child.
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge
Catherine Middleton was born to Michael and Carole Middleton. The eldest of three children, she
went on to study art history at St Andrews University, where she shared accommodation with Prince
William. The two began seeing one another in 2003. On 29 April 2011 she married Prince William
in Westminster Abbey, and on 3 December 2012 she announced she was pregnant with her first
child.
Prince Harry
The younger son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, Harry is brother to Prince William.
He has served numerous times in Afghanistan, and is a noted charity campaigner like his mother.
Aged 21 he was appointed as a Counsellor of State and now travels widely around the world
representing the UK. Following the birth of William and Catherine's baby, he will become fourth in
line to the throne.
Autumn Kelly
Canadian wife to Peter Phillips, eldest grandchild of the Queen. The couple married in 2008.
Autumn is mother to the Queens great-grandchildren Savannah and Isla.
Peter Phillips
The first cousin to Princes William and Harry, Peter Phillips was the Queen's first grandchild. Son
of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips. He married Canadian Autumn Kelly in 2008, who
gave birth to the Queen's first great-grandchild, Savannah Phillips, in 2010.
Zara Phillips

First cousin to Princes William and Harry, granddaughter to the Queen, and daughter of Princess
Anne with her first husband Captain Mark Phillips. In 2011, Zara married former England rugby
union player Mike Tindall in Edinburgh. The couple recently announced they were expecting their
first child.
Mike Tindall
Mike Tindall is married to Zara Phillips, the daughter of the Princess Royal and the eldest
granddaughter of the Queen. The couple was expecting their first child in early 2014.
Princess Beatrice
Beatrice is the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York and will be sixth in line to the throne
after the birth of the royal baby.
Princess Eugenie
The second child of the Duke and Duchess of York and the Queen's sixth gradchild, Eugenie
graduated from Newcastle University in 2012 with a degree in English.
James, Viscount Severn
The youngest of the Queen's grandchildren, James was born in 2007. The cousin of Princes William
and Harry, he will be 9th in line to the throne after the birth of the new baby.
Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor
Louise was born in Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey, and is the Queen's youngest granddaughter. She
acted as a bridesmaid at her cousin Prince William's wedding in 2011.
Prince George
Prince George of Cambridge is the only child of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and
Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. He is the grandchild of Charles, Prince of Wales, and the late
Diana, Princess of Wales and is third in line to the throne after his great-grandmother, the Queen,
after his grandfather and father.
Savannah Phillips
Savannah Anne Kathleen was the Queen's first great-grandchild.
Isla Elizabeth
Isla Elizabeth was born at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. Despite being a child old she looks
set to continue the family tradition of horse riding.
