We praise God and we also want to thank you

He and his family fled for their lives
from Saddam and his men.

The week
after the convention, we will be in Monrovia, Indiana for the

We are excited about the team of
eight people making plans to leave in August to teach English

There is s t i l l many countries where we can put

Pray that we will continue to find recruits.
I was very encouraged bo hear from bhe team that just

It was exciting to

about

I also enjoyed hearing the stories of all the other
people that they were able to share Jesus with.
There are
many people who have heard the Gospel and have the scriptures

Dear Friends and Loved Ones,

We apologize for not writing sooner, but as our

schedule has gone, we haven't been home for more than four

days since the first of June.

It is taking us a little

while to catch up.

This

was

another long, hot summer.

And yes, that felt

good!!
The Lord has blessed our travels in more ways than
we can express.
We praise God for all of your prayers and
support as we traveled to various camps, V.B.S.'s and
Conventions and meetings.
We went from Wyoming to North
Carolina, from Michigan to Texas, and yes, it felt like we

were

"spanning the globe"!!

Thank the Lord for keeping us

We

Karen stays with a Chinese family 3 or 4 days a week and tutors their

Dear Friends,

We
were just thrilled to see pictures of Karen and
Toai's wedding in Vietnam.
It is hard to believe that my
little sister is married.
From v/hat we saw from pictures
and heard from family, they are both as happy as any newly
married couple could be.
We thank the Lord for putting
them together.
Sheila and I felt like we were there after
watching a video of the ceremonies.
We were real happy
that dad, mom, Fran, and Sonja all had the chance to be
there.
We understand that the wedding itself was a mixture
of Vietnamese and American cultures, interesting to say the
least.
It all looked truly romantic.
