HAUS KARWENDEL ACCOMMODATIONS INFORMATION

Housing for students is available at the Haus Karwendel, a comfortable facility within a 15-
minute walk along the River Inn or a 5-minute bus ride to the University of Innsbruck and
the old town of Innsbruck.

The Karwendel has a café, which is open for breakfast on lecture days and on scheduled
evenings (usually Mon-Wed. nights). The café opens a small wine/cocktail bar until 12pm and
offers a casual dining menu until 9pm. A buffet-breakfast is offered on each class day. Coin-
operated washers and dryers are located in the basement. Bed linens and face towels are
provided and changed weekly. All rooms have a bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower, a
closet, desks and chairs and a single bed. Twin rooms have two single beds which can be
pushed together for couples. There are a few triple rooms, but be aware that the space is
tight.

The lower level of the Karwendel and the café/breakfast room are wireless. Each room has
one plug for an Ethernet chord. You may rent an Ethernet chord from the front desk of the
Haus Karwendel or bring your own. Detailed information will be sent to you in April.

The check-in date at the Haus Karwendel is on Sunday, July 4, after 12pm. Please note that
the Karwendel is not a hotel. The front desk is only staffed for the first few days and on the
day of check out. However, a manager or member of the staff may be contacted via phone.
The number is noted at the front desk.

The per-person cost for accommodations for 34 nights {check in Sunday, July 4; check out
Saturday, August 7} is as follows:

Price per room type with complimentary buffet breakfast on 20 class days.
Single with bath (shower) $1,850.00 Limited availability
Twin with bath (shower) $1,285.00 pp
Triple with bath (shower) $ 995.00 pp Limited availability
Please note that the above rates are subject to exchange rate fluctuations, until final
payment is made.

To reserve a room, complete the registration form and email, fax or mail it with your
Visa/MasterCard/Amex information, or a deposit check of $200.00 made payable to “Peter
McLean Ltd” and mailed to the address on the registration page. If you elect to use a credit
card, please add 3% to your dormitory fee. Rates contingent on a minimum 20 persons and
are subject to rate fluctuations. Rooms cannot be held without deposits.

is charged for the balance, in June.

Responsibility: Dormitory rooms are confirmed on a first come, first served basis. Reservations will be accepted until
April 16, 2010 or until the dormitory fills, which ever comes first. After this date, accommodations are received on a
request basis. IMPORTANT: In the event that one student cancels a reservation in a twin or triple room, the remaining
student(s) will be responsible to do one of the following: 1. Find an alternate roommate. 2. Transfer to a single room or
double room (if available) and pay the difference. 3. Cover the outstanding costs of the person who drops out to retain the
accommodation. There is no penalty for cancellations if notice is received in writing on or before April 30, 2010. After
that date, the penalty is $200.00 unless you find a replacement. After June 1, room payments are non-refundable unless
you find a replacement. Students are FULLY responsible for arranging their own roommates. Final payment is due by
Tuesday, June 1, 2010. No-shows receive no refund.

Peter McLean Ltd prefers personal checks or money orders but also accepts Visa/MC/AMEX for
payments of both deposit and balance of the room. To pay by credit card, please provide the following
