Dispensing
We dispense both NHS and private prescriptions. We keep and comprehensive medici
ne stock and use a fast and efficient wholesaler service to fulfil all prescript
ions quickly. When we dispense your prescriptions, we keep a computerised record
of the items dispensed. When you next bring a prescription here our records qui
ckly tell us whether you may safely take a medicine with any others you are taki
ng. Any warnings or recommendations will automatically appear on the label.
Repeat Dispensing Service
We offer a repeat dispensing service which means that your
medicines cab be obtained directly from the pharmacy. Your

Prescription Delivery Service

Most of our pharmacies can deliver prescriptions if you are housebound or infirm
and do not have a carer who can fetch them for you. Telephone your pharmacist f
or more information.
Patient Support
We can help patients can carers who need extra support and information to deal w
ith their medicines and illnesses. As well as providing advice and leaflets on a
range of conditions we can also advise on further sources of information and he
lp including local health and social care professionals and patient support grou
ps.
Information about Prescription Medicines
Many of the medicines we dispense for you are supplied in the manufacturer s origi
nal pack complete with a leaflet containing information about the medicine, whic
h is required by law. Please speak to the pharmacist if there is anything in the
leaflet which you are unsure about or if you have any further questions.
Homeopathy and Herbal Remedies
We keep a carefully selected range of homeopathic and herbal medicines and are a
lways glad to advise on what s best for you.
Advice on Health and Lifestyle Issues
We can advise on many lifestyle and health issues. Come in and help yourself fro
m our display of free healthcare leaflets providing advice on treating minor ill
ness.
Look out for our regular displays on different health topics. Please ask our pha
rmacist if you require further information on any topic or condition.
Confidential Help and Advice
We have a private area where you can talk about your medicines or general health
care. Ask to speak to the pharmacist on duty.
Stop Smoking Support
In addition to offering help and advice on stopping smoking, our pharmacist can
advise on a wide range of nicotine replacement products which may also help, inc
luding nicotine patches and gum.
Unwanted Medicines
Do Not Hoard Medicines it can be fatal. Return unused medicines to us for safe d
estruction. Don t put them in the bin or flush them down the toilet.
First Aid Supplies
We carry a wide range of products for domestic use, but can also meet requiremen

ts for offices, shops and factories.

Pregnancy Testing Services
A Small, early-morning urine sample is all that we need. We can usually test it
while you wait or if you do prefer, you can buy a home test kit. We also offer a
dvice on fertility testing.
Support for Families with Disabilities
We can provide help for people with a disability who require assistance with man
aging and taking medicines. We may be able to supply your medicines in special c
ontainers marked with daily doses or help in other ways such as supplying remind
er charts.
Please ask the pharmacist for more information. All medicines are supplied in ch
ild resistant containers unless you ask us not to. This does not mean that they
are child proof
remember to keep all medicines out of the sight and reach of chi
ldren. Some elderly or confused people may require special containers to help th
em take medicines correctly. These can be obtained on request.
Medicines Use Reviews Service
If you are taking several different medicines we maybe able to offer you a medic
ines review. We will be able to sit down and discuss any problems you may have t
aking your medicines and answer any questions you may have. Please ask the pharm
acist for more information about this service.
Emergency Dispensing
At night, on Sundays and public holidays the doctor may mark your prescription UR
GENT and can make arrangements to get it dispensed. If you are unable to get to y
our doctor we may be able to help. This service is not provided under the NHS an

We can advise you in confidence about helpful items such as pads, pants, mattres
s covers, sheets and anything else you need.
Holiday Needs
We provide products you may require for your holiday. We are always glad to give
advice about how to avoid sunburn, tummy upsets, malaria and other holiday risk
s and to supply suitable remedies and precautions
