COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course provides an introduction to key concepts and approaches to the study of Political
Science. It covers the major themes and topics from sub-fields of the discipline, i.e. Comparative
Politics, International Relations, Political Philosophy and Public Policy. The course will examine
the major issues in politics within and between nation-states.
COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course seeks to achieve the following goals:


Aiding the students in developing a foundational understanding of political systems,
structures and institutions.
Introducing the students to basic approaches, themes and debates within Political
Science.

Enabling the students to critically think about politics, political actors and processes.
