(MEDICAL WARD)

1. List and describe your learning experience as it happens.

=> This exposure is very memorable for me, it was my birthday and the exposure was
quite surprising.
Knowledge: I was able to apply my concepts in NCM 107 about Team Nursing,
supposed to be, Im not the Team leader for this week but since the TL was absent,
I became one in behalf of Mr. Terbio (our supposed to be team leader), with these, I
was able to apply knowledge on planning, organizing, controlling and directing to
my team mates.
Skills: As Ive mentioned, I was able to practice my skills in being a team leader or
a head nurse.
Attitude: As I cater patients and manage my team, I ensure that I apply Christian
moral values like empathy, camaraderie, passion and responsibility.
2. What is your thought and reaction to the learning experience?

=> This week, I was the team leader, I know for myself that I did my best, but I still need
improve
some
areas
of
my leadership skills.

3. Based on your reflection, what are the things you could have done otherwise? What do you

to
learn?

=> Keep on reading, because when I read, I am reviewed on my concepts therefore I

=> Once again we went back to Bgy. Mangingisda for the Family Development Session.
Knowledge: I was able to apply my concepts in NCM 107 about leadership as I
delegated tasks to my group as we help the FSWs in the FDS.
Skills: I was able to apply skills in leadership and health services like taking blood
pressures.
Attitude: As I cater clients and manage my team, I ensure that I apply Christian
moral values like empathy, camaraderie, passion and responsibility.
2. What is your thought and reaction to the learning experience?
=> Every FDS, I learn something new especially about being a responsible mother and a
wife,

feel
lucky
to
be
able
attend sessions like this because it doesnt only hone me to become a community

nurse
someday
but
as well as to be a responsible mother and a wife.

3. List and describe your learning experience as it happens.

=> This day, our intensive nursing practicum is at the Operating Room.
Knowledge: I observed in the surgery and learned more about Herniorraphy and
repair of Mesh, I was refreshed on its purpose, how it is done and what are the
nursing considerations before and after the surgery.
Skills: My skills in circulating and scrubbing nurse was reviewed a I observe my
classmates.
Attitude: As I interact with my group I ensure that I apply Christian moral values
like empathy, camaraderie, passion and responsibility.
2. What is your thought and reaction to the learning experience?
=> I am happy for my classmates because they were able to finish their cases but I would
want
to
be
able
to
assist once again for added learnings.
