- use the past simple ,all forms in speaking and reading with past time

ago,in(February,2000) ;
-read correctly the endinged( d ,t,id)
-read a story and get the main idea ; recognize the regular/irregular forms;
-to ask and answer about past activities

necessary, and also explains the new words.The next activity is to write the

infinitives of all past simple forms from the story. T gives another worksheet with
exercises.S solve it ,too.

The happy man
Once upon a time there lived a king. On New Years day he went to a
wise man to be taught to become happy .The wise man consulted his books and found
the remedy.
Your Majesty, you must get into the clothes of a happy man ,and only
this way his happiness will pass on you.
Before he went on his journey ,the king questioned the most powerful
men on earth. But none was happy. Also he asked a handsome young man who wore a
sword of gold. This young once was rewarded by the king so generously that he was
considered to be the richest man on earth .
Are you happy .young man?
No ,your Majesty .Perhaps it is because of my treasures. That s why I want to give you
back all the money you gave me with many thanks.
The king also asked peasants, workers, clerks ,but none was really happy.
One day ,he climbed up in the mountains. There he met a shepherd who was whistling.
Are you happy ?I heard you whistling like a blackbird..
You could say I am happy ,answered the shepard.
As soon as he heard these words, the king ordered his soldiers to remove the mans
shirt .But the happy man didnt wear a shirt.
