Fabricacin
La fabricacin debe realizarse de acuerdo a las mejores
prcticas comerciales y dentro de los requisitos de las
especificaciones aplicables. No debe haber defectos,
imperfecciones u omisiones que podra afectar o disminuir
la proteccin dada por el paquete en su conjunto.

Workmanship
All workmanship shall be in accordance with the best
commercial practices and within the requirements of
the applicable specifications. There shall be no
defects, imperfections or omissions that would impair
or lessen the protection afforded by the package as a
whole.

Equipment Nameplates
All pieces of proprietary Equipment, including motors
and gearboxes, shall be provided with a corrosion
resistant metal equipment manufacturers nameplate.
Nameplates shall be neatly hard stamped with the
equipment make, model and serial numbers with
letters not less than 8 mm high. Equipment
nameplates shall be permanently and securely
attached to the Equipment by means of stainless steel
screws or rivets.

9.9
Special Care
Special care shall be taken to prevent brinelling of
bearings. Bearings with dead loads in excess of 20 kg
shall be relieved of load during transport by the use of
false bearings to support the load. The Supplier shall
provide instructions for the correct removal of the false
bearings.
Rotating Equipment
Rotating Equipment shall be securely braced so as to
prevent rotation or displacement during handling or
transport and the Supplier shall provide instructions
on the correct removal of such bracing.
Assembly
Equipment where practical shall be shipped fully
assembled, however when shipping fully assembled
Equipment is not possible, it shall be the Suppliers
responsibility to disassemble the Equipment so that it
can be properly packed and protected.
Optimisation
Gear Boxes
When practical, gearboxes shall be transported filled
with oil. Where this is not practical, vapour phase
inhibitors shall be used to protect internal surfaces.
The Supplier shall provide instructions detailing the
type of inhibitor and the procedure for its removal prior
to operating.

shipped with all auxiliary piping completely assembled
and properly braced for shipment.

Preservation
Prior to packing, all Equipment shall be checked
internally and externally to ensure it is free from all
weld splatter, scale, rust, cuttings, filings etc as well
as any other foreign matter. Critical wearing surfaces
shall be cleaned by dipping or brushing with suitable
solvent, such as petroleum, naptha, or alkaline
cleaning compound. After hydro-testing, operation, or
performance testing, all fluids (e.g. lubrication oil, fuels
or water) shall be completely drained from all tanks,
vessels, jacketing, piping etc., and wiped or blown dry.
Lint free rags shall be used for wiping critical wear
surfaces.

Both general hand tools and any special tools
including keys etc, to be provided by the Supplier for
the installation of supplied Equipment shall be
packaged separately with packages being clearly
identified with the words Tools. Packing lists in all
instances shall be clearly identified by quantity and
description of all tools supplied.

Mobile Equipment
On mobile equipment and vehicles etc, standard and
any special markings may be shown on a placard
which is suitably fastened to the windscreen or other
suitable and prominent position.
