institution. Candidates must excel in shorthand with minimum speed of 80 words
and have adequate computer proficiency. Fluency in English, Hindi and Local
Language.

Administrator
Number of Posts: 1(one) UR
Pay Scale: PB-4 Pay (12000-40000) GP-6,300

B.E. / B.Tech. in Computer Science

and Engineering / Information Technology or
MCA or M.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Technology from a recognized
University with at least 60% marks or its equivalent in the CGPA scale with five
years of experience in computing at the level of System Analyst.
Senior Stenographer

A Bachelors Degree in any subject from recognized University / Institution with
55% marks having a minimum of eight years of experience for Graduate / five
years for postgraduate with shorthand with a minimum speed of 140 words. The
candidate must have adequate knowledge of computer.

Assistant Engineer
B. Tech. / B.E. (Civil) Degree from a recognized University with a minimum of
two years of experience in the field. Junior Engineers working in any government
department for five years may be taken on deputation or retired Junior Engineer /
Assistant Engineer may also be considered.

Superintendent
A Bachelor Degree in any subject

from a recognized University/ Institution with a
Minimum of 5 years of experience of which three years shall be as Junior

Assistant in any University / Central or State Government Organization / higher
secondary council or board of secondary education. The candidates must have
adequate computer proficiency.

Accountant

A Master Degree in Commerce from a recognized University/ Institution with
minimum experience of two years as Junior Accountant in any University /
Central or State Government Organization. The candidates must have adequate
computer proficiency in Tally ERP.
Or a qualified Chartered Accountant with Article ship experience or B.Com. from
a recognized University / Institution with minimum 3 years experience as Junior
Accountant.

Junior Stenographer
A Bachelors Degree from recognized University / Institution having minimum of
two years of experience.
A Bachelor Degree / one year for postgraduate and Shorthand with a minimum
speed of 80 Words. Presentation, communication and decision making skills,
fluency in English, Hindi and Local Languages. The candidate must have adequate
knowledge of computer.

System Operator
Pay Scale: PB-2 Pay (5200 -20200) GP-3,300
Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering (Three Years) or BCA or Graduate
with DOEACC 'A' Level (Diploma) or equivalent from recognized institution.
The candidate shall have exposure in using hardware, software and networking in
office environment.
Minimum three years work experience in any reputed and recognized Educational
Institution / Computer Centre.

Library Assistant
Number of Posts: 3 (Three) 2-UR, 1-OBC/MOBC
A Bachelors Degree in any discipline from a recognized University/ Institution
with Bachelors Degree in Library Science with good academic records.
Knowledge of computerization of Library is essential. Preference will be given to
candidate having Post Graduate degree with previous experience in this line of
work.

Assistant

A Bachelors Degree in Commerce from a recognized University / Institution with

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

Applicants

(http://www.nluassam.ac.in). Applications received in any other format other than the prescribed
form will be rejected. Filled in Application form with attested copies of all relevant documents
should be sent to the Registrar, NLUJAA, B.K. Kakoti Road, Opp. SBI South Ghy. Branch,
Ulubari, Guwahati - 781007. Please download the form and fill it carefully and correctly. An
application with incomplete documentation or incorrect information is liable to be summarily
rejected. Separate Application Form is required to be filled up for each post.
(2)
The envelope should be super-scribed as "Application for the post of <--name of the post -->".
(3)
E-mail addresses of the candidates (if any) must be mentioned in the proper place of the
Application Form
(4) Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.

The University reserves the right to
place reasonable limit on the total number of candidates to be called for interview. Fulfillment of
essential qualifications per se does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. Depending
upon the number of applications received against each advertised posts, University may hold a
Written Test Examination / Practical Test on the relevant subjects as decided by the University for
shortlisting candidates.
(5)
Stringent criteria may be applied for short-listing candidates to be called for interview.

The University reserves the right to withdraw any advertised post at any time without assigning any
reason. The right is also reserved with the university either to fill or not to fill the post and its
decision in this regard shall be final.
(10) The University reserves the right to modify/cancel/withdraw any communication made to the
candidates(s), even after appointment, if this has been the result of some inadvertent mistake either
in the advertisement or the recruitment process which may have been detected at a different stage;
(11) The University reserves the right to disqualify any candidate who may have been shortlisted based
on wrong information provided by the candidate. Persons who may be selected/ appointed based on
wrong information supplied by the candidate may be terminated at any stage;
(12) The University reserves the right to alter/insert any corrections/additions in the
advertisement/website in the event of any typographical error before the last date prescribed for the
receipt of applications, for which the candidates are advised to be in the lookout for announcements
in the NLUJAA website.
(13) The University reserves the right to disqualify any candidate who attempts to lobby or canvass to
influence the selection process;
(14) The University may offer lower post to a candidate who
may have applied for a higher post in case
suitable candidates are not available for the advertised posts.
(15) Persons who are currently employed must submit a No objection certificate from their current
employer along with their application, without which
their application will not be considered
further.
(16) Candidates from reserved categories must submit an attested copy of the relevant certificates signed
by the appropriate authority as specified by the Govt. of Assam, along with their application form.
(17) The university will not be responsible for either any non-receipt of application sent by a candidate
or any delay in receiving the application sent by a candidate, on any account.
(18) The application form duly filled in the prescribed form must reach the office of the Registrar on or
before the last date at the under-mentioned address. Applications received after last date shall not
be included in the selection process. Applications received through emails will not be
considered.
(19) Applicants serving in Government / Semi-Government organizations / Public Sector Undertakings /

Autonomous Bodies must send their applications Through Proper Channel. The applications
received without the recommendations of the employers will not be considered. However, an
advance copy of application may be sent followed by the original application through proper
channel.
(20) Candidates shall have to produce original documents at the time of appearing in Interview.
(21) Incomplete applications or without relevant supporting enclosures (self-attested copies of

degree/certificates/marks sheets/experience certificate/Caste Certificate etc.) will be rejected at the
threshold.

applications by either Registered Post or a reliable courier service, or by hand should be submitted
on or before the last date mentioned in the advertisement.
(23) The decision adopted by the University authorities at any stage of the selection process will be final
and binding.
(24) Selected candidates will be governed by the new pension Rules, 2005.
(25) No TA/DA will be paid to any candidates for appearing
written test and interview.
