The Allen-Bradley I-Sense power meter provides vital data that pinpoints power events,
reveals the relationship between voltage sags and downtime situations, and certainty of
knowing the cause, making it easier to take fast, appropriate and targeted action to get
operations up and running with minimal mean-time-to-repair.
The I-Sense meter is cost-effective, easy to use and easy to install. The meter transmits power
quality event data to I-Grid servers via an Ethernet or modem connection. That data is
collected, analyzed and sent to subscribers in the form of Grid Alert event notifications
giving users the ability to view detailed power quality event data and reports anytime,
anywhere.
Grid Alert subscriptions provide access to information about the power quality in and around
a facility, from any Internet connection and Web browser. The I-Grid network offers
corroboration of the data from individual I-Sense monitors with other area I-Sense monitors
to provide a clear picture of power events.

understanding and acting on power quality issues and energy management activities,
including power quality, revenue metering, energy monitoring and distribution system
control.

The Allen-Bradley Bulletin 800F Universal LED module has a wide input voltage range of
24120V AC/DC. These are stand-alone LEDs in red, green and white. White LEDs can be
used with the amber, blue, yellow and white illuminated operators. Latch mount and screw
terminators are available. The new universal LED also has solid-state compatibility.
The Allen-Bradley 802K IEC 30 mm metal limit switches have a range of options including
snap action and slow break with two or four contact configurations and a choice of actuator
heads. The head can be rotated in 90-degree increments before installation for easy
mounting. Operation of these limit switches is achieved by the sliding action of the guard or
other moving object deflecting the plunger or lever.
The Allen-Bradley 871TS food and beverage inductive proximity sensors from Rockwell
Automation are designed to address the most demanding applications in the food and
beverage industry. These sensors withstand high-pressure and high-temperature washdowns while offering superior resistance to corrosion and damage caused by harsh cleansing
agents.

The Allen-Bradley Guardmaster SC300 is a Type 3 vision-based protective device designed for
use in a variety of machine guarding applications. It is specifically targeted to light and
medium industrial machine guarding applications which have a square or rectangular frame
in front of the hazardous area, and an environmental rating requirement of IP54. The sensing
function is performed by the SC300 viewing a two-dimensional image against a passive
pattern as the background. The detection principle is that the view of the pattern is blocked
by an object of the appropriate resolution (24mm or 30mm).

The Allen-Bradley 45CRM is a photoelectric contrast sensor that reliably detects registration
marks on a web. This sensor features red, green, and blue emitter LEDs. During the teach
process the sensor determines which of the emitter LEDs maximizes the contrast between the
registration mark and the web (background). The teach process is completed using a simple
rotary switch.
The extremely fast response time enables the control system to precisely align web material
within the machine, for example, lining up labels on a web with the cutting blade of the
equipment prior to the label being placed on a bottle.

The new Allen-Bradley LDAT-Series integrated linear thruster from Rockwell Automation is
the first commercially available moving magnet iron core linear motor actuator with a built-in
linear guide to carry a load. To produce a high speed, load-bearing linear actuator today,
many machine and equipment builders invest a good deal of time and money to design a
mechanism with rotary-to-linear motion conversion. With the LDAT thruster, machine
builders get high-speed, load-bearing linear motion out-of-the-box. Doing away with power
transmission components such as couplings, gear boxes, and other motion conversion
mechanisms also saves energy by avoiding frictional losses attributed to these components.
The motor combines high velocity, up to 5 meters per second as well as high levels of
acceleration. Peak thrust forces range from 187 to 4,306 newtons. It also helps improve
reliability and makes maintenance easier by reducing the number of wear items typically used
in such applications.

models the dynamic performance of a load. In addition, improved 3D mechanical CAD
models, hosted on 3D Content Central, provide a more accurate level of detail for simulation,
making better product designs. To improve automation productivity, Motion Analyzer

The Brkert ELEMENT line of Valves, Sensors and Controllers offers a cleaner environment for
hygienic processes. The ELEMENT line is reliable in the control of fluids including steam,
corrosive solvents and chemicals, or abrasive fluids such as slurries in a wide variety of
applications. They combine the desirable characteristics of engineered polymers with the
highly washable endurance of stainless steel. There are no coatings, pockets or external
pneumatic lines to hinder cleanliness and valves are delivered with bright visual feedback via
signal LEDs or a backlit graphic display.
Factory floor communications and status monitoring are available via simple 4-20mA or a
range of digital protocols. ELEMENT valves and sensors can also be linked to the enterprise via
Brkerts AirLINE bus interface system. The flexible modularity of the different valve, sensor
and control components allows for an easy replacement or upgrade as process needs change,
while maintaining full compatibility of all process hardware.

AN-X Gateways
ProSoft Technologys AN-X gateways are powerful migration tools designed to allow
ControlLogix PACs to communicate with Legacy I/O platforms such as Remote I/O, DH+,
Modicon S908, Texas Instruments 505, and GE Genius. The AN-X can be added to a network
without interrupting existing controls and monitor changing states of I/O. The ControlLogix
program can be built and verified before switching to the new system, significantly reducing
the risk of excessive downtime during a controller upgrade. The AN-X gateways also allow
classic PanelView terminals and Allen-Bradley drives on Remote I/O to be upgraded to a new
PanelView Plus 6 or PowerFlex drive on EtherNet/IP. The AN-X configuration is stored on a
removable SD card as a tool to support a disaster recovery plan.

Multi-Channel Contact Closures
Multi-Channel Contact Closures convert up to 10 contact closure inputs (switches, relays, etc.)
into fiber-optic signals for transmission over a single fiber-optic link. Upon activation of the
inputs, the receiver module receives the transmitted signals and de-energizes a
corresponding, on-board relay operating in a fail-safe mode for switching critical systems.
Each of the transmit modules includes two inputs, and is capable of multiplexing up to 10
inputs by cascading additional dual channel input modules. An integrated backplane allows
for communications between modules with no external intermodular connection.
