Senior Economist
No of participants: 1-3
A Paper Presentation event based on the theme Heterodox
Economics
Mainstream economics is based on the core idea of
rationalism of all the individuals wherein, several theories
and models have been developed on its foundation. This
has been questioned many a times, thus paving the way for
a more liberal approach, under an umbrella term
Heterodox Economics. It refers to methodologies or
schools of economic thought that are considered outside of
the realm of "mainstream economics" and is often
characterized by expositors as contrasting with or going
beyond neoclassical economics.
This is a platform for sharing of ideas and results of
various research works; identifying the lacunae that exists
between the orthodox mainstream economics and the
modern-day heterodox economics.

Sub themes: Law and Economics, Institutional Economics,

Behavioural Economics, Economics of Exclusion, Feminist
Economics,

History of Economic Thought, Ecological Economics and

Innovation Economics.
