What are the obstacles you may encounter
Family, financial, emotional

Plan A, plan B, plan C.etc

BEFORE .
1 Do your research.
The university you are applying to and the program of
study you are interested in
The university representative ask you why you are
interested in that university and why you want to
study there.
The more detailed and specific answers you can give,
It shows your commitment to studying at that
institution.

BEFORE .
2 Do practice interviews.
Being prepared for potential
questions from the
interviewer can make you
feel more confidant.
Ask freinds, your parents or
a career adviser to help you
prepare for the questions
that you might be asked at
your university interview.

3 Know what is going on in Radiology.

BEFORE .
4 Prepare your own list of questions.
The interviewer may ask you if you have any
questions and you want to be sure that you do.
You can ask specific questions about the program
you are applying to or more general questions
about the university.
Be sure to ask well-informed questions as well as
questions in which the answers are not commonly
known.

Dress Appropriately

BEFORE .
5 Dress the part.
Be sure to look your best on the day of the interview.
Get plenty of sleep the night before so you are well
rested and dress up for the interview.
Your first impression says a lot, so your clothes
should be ironed and well put together.
Also, don't chew gum or wear heavy cologne or
perfume that could be potentially distracting to the
interviewer.

It is important to know exactly how to get to the place of
interview . i.e google map, waze & GPS
to arrive about at least 10 minutes early.

Why should I employ you?
What strengths and weaknesses do you have?
Give me a brief personal history of yourself.
Why do you want to work here?
Why is there a gap in your educational [or job] experience?
What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?
What are your leisure activities?
Do you like teaching and research?
Describe your style of leadership.
How are you motivated?
Why do you want to change positions?

Common question
List some of your mistakes and what you learned from
those experiences.
What characteristics made your best mentor so valuable?
Did you ever have a departmental chair or section chief
you didnt like?
How do you work with someone you dislike?
How do you deal with conflict or success or failure?
Why or how have you achieved success?
How would you go about making changes here?
What special skills would you add to our organization
