The status of University was given to a cluster of these colleges and institutes in appreciation of the high level
of their academic excellence and for their potential for further growth.
During the last 19 years or so, the University has achieved higher pinnacles of academic excellence and has
established its reputation to such an extent that it attracts students not only from various parts of India but also from
abroad. According to a survey conducted by Association of Indian Universities, this University is one among the top
ten Universities in the country preferred by the overseas students for admissions. At present, there are more than 750
overseas students from 47 countries on the rolls of constituent units of this University.
During the last 19 years, there has been tremendous academic expansion of the University. It now conducts in
all 305 courses in its constituent units, of them 108 are Post Graduate, 45 are Under Graduate and 55 Diploma level
courses. 12 Fellowship and 5 certificate courses. All the professional courses which the University conducts such as
those of Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering etc., have approval of the respective statutory councils, viz., Medical
Council of India, Dental Council of India, All India Council for Technical Education etc.
The University is a throbbing center of research activities and has launched Ph.D. programmes in 77 subjects
and M.Phil in 3 subjects. It has also introduced quite few innovative academic programmes such as Masters in
Clinical Optometry, M.Tech. in Nano Technology etc.
The University's performance and achievements were assessed by the "National Assessment and
Accreditation Council" and it was reaccredited with a prestigious "A" grade in 2011. Some programmes of the
constituent units such as College of Engineering at Pune, Management Institute in Delhi and others have also been
accredited by "National Board of Accreditation". Three constituent units of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University are
also the recipients of ISO 9001-2001 certifications.
The University has been awarded A Grade by Ministry of Human Resources Govt. of India.
Is one of the largest Universities in terms of Constituent Units established u/s. 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.

Our Campuses
Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has campuses in Pune, Mumbai, Solapur, Kolhapur, Sangli, Karad
and New Delhi, the capital city of India. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has two campuses in Pune, one
on Pune-Satara Road 5kms. South of Pune another at Erandwane, in the heart of the city. In addition, two
more campuses have been developed at Sangli and Navi Mumbai.

Our Campus
Bharati Vidyapeeth Navi Mumbai campus is located in the luscious green and hilly area and touches the border
of Raigad District. It is located opposite to the Kharghar railway station, Navi Mumbai. Bharati Vidyapeeth has two
campuses in Navi Mumbai. Both these campuses are located in prime localities and are easily accessible. One is
located in the Sector 7 of C.B.D. and another in Sector 8 of C.B.D.
Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University College of Nursing, Navi Mumbai situated at Sector 7, CBD Belapur,
Navi Mumbai Campus. The satellite area of campus is 28.14 acre. Along with Nursing College, BV College of
Engineering, BV Institute of technology and Dental College & Hospital are situated in same campus.
In the Campus, Fitness Centre and common playground are available for staff and students. Luxurious guest
house and canteen facility are available with 150 seating capacity and have a separate parking facility for staff and
students.
Hostel Facilities
The fully furnished hostel with modern amenities are available for boys and girls separatly with single and double
room including a visitor's room. Dining hall is provided with adequate furniture, water cooler, safe drinking water,
food warmer, fridge etc. and in addition recreational facilities like Television, daily newspapers, sports and games
facilities especially indoor games like carrom board, chess board, table tennis etc. are available. The hostel has got a
dedicated warden. There are proper security arrangements for the students.

The clinical teaching and training of students are conducted in the 456 bedded Navi Mumbai Municipal
Corporation hospital at Vashi. The students of the college are also sent for training to other reputed local hospitals in
Mumbai and Navi Mumbai for specialized experience.
The community health experience is given in a Urban health centre at CBD Belapur and Rural health centre at
Wavanje village.

We have a lab with 25 Computers for nursing students with internet access. Nursing students require access to a
personal computer with word processing and presentation software.

over 100 students at a time.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, College of Nursing, Sangli started in 2007 at Bharati Vidyapeeth
Deemed University Campus, Wanlesswadi, Sangli. The College is a constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed
University. The College has been started with the permission from Maharashtra Nursing council and Indian Nursing
Council. The College has 50-intake capacity for B.Sc., 30 for P.B. B.Sc. and 10 M.Sc. Nursing intake capacity.
Our College is equipped with nursing arts, community health and nutrition laboratories, teaching aids and a
departmental library. Since we have our own Medical College in the same campus, our students get exposure to the
teaching of senior faculty members having expertise in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, and
Microbiology and other subjects. Similarly, our students also have access to the Medical College library, which has a
very vast collection of reference books. Our college also subscribes journals and makes audio visual aids available to
the students. Hostel facilities with modern amenities are available to the student within the campus. The atmosphere in
the college is very congenial for professional growth.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
ENTRANCE TEST :
The University will conduct a common entrance test E.T. (B.Sc. Nursing)-2015 for admission of Bharati
Vidyapeeth Deemed University College of Nursing, Pune, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University College of Nursing,
Navi Mumbai, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University College of Nursing, Sangli.
1)
Students will be admitted to the four-year B.Sc. Nursing Course on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the
Entrance Test. E. T. (B.Sc. Nursing)-2015.
2)
E.T. (B.Sc. Nursing)-2015 will be conducted as shown in the calendar of events at Pune, New Delhi, Navi
Mumbai, Sangli, Kottayam between 1100 hrs. to 1300 hrs.
3)
Exact address of the Examination center will be communicated to the candidate through the
admission card.
4)
The question paper will be in English, Questions will be related to Physics, Chemistry and Botany and Zoology
course of 10 + 2 HSC Examination standard.
There will be 100 questions of multiple choice, 25 each on Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. They will be
set on the topics in the syllabus of 10+2 (H.S.C.) Course. Based on in general pattern of 10 + 2 examination
syllabus. Each question will carry one mark. There is no negative marking.
ELIGIBLITY FOR APPEARING IN THE ENTRANCE TEST AND SUBSEQUENT ADMISSION TO THE COURSE
1)
The candidate should have passed H.S.C. I.C.S.E., P.U.C. of any recognized Board/University in India or any
other examination equivalent to 10 + 2
(Higher/Senior) Secondary Examination after twelve years of study from any institution situated in India with at
least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English taken together and 40% in case of SC/ST students.
2)
Candidates who are likely to appear, or who have appeared for qualifying examination but whose results have
not been declared will also be considered eligible for appearing for the E.T. (B.Sc. Nursing)-2015 provided they
fulfill the eligibility conditions mentioned above. The candidates who fail to fulfill the above mentioned conditions
regarding eligibility will not be considered eligible for admission to B.Sc. Nursing course, even if their names
appears in the merit list.
Application Procedure :
1.
A candidate desirous of appearing in the E.T. (B.Sc. Nursing)-2015 is required to complete the prescribed
application form appended at the end of this Brochure and submit the same to the University. The last date for
receiving the form is as mentioned in the Calendar of Events.
2.
The candidate should avoid overwriting, cutting, erasing on the form. Any discrepancies in the statements and
/or submission of incomplete form will lead to its rejection/cancellation of admission.
3.
ALL THE ENTRIES IN FORM SHOULD BE IN CAPITAL LETTERS ONLY IN BLACK/BLUE BALL POINT PEN
4.
Do not fill form if you have passed qualifying examination from outside India.

of 10+2 examination. Please leave one blank square between adjacent words. For example the name Prachi

7. Photograph :
A passport size photograph should be affixed at the appropriate place in the application form. The photograph
is to be attested by the Principal/Head of the institution where the candidate has studied or by a Gazetted officer.
The attestation of the photograph should be done in such a way that the photograph is not defaced.

The candidate should indicate clearly the Examination Centre at which she/he wishes to appear for examination
by ticking off the appropriate one.

10. The application form sent by mail must be sent by registered post/courier.
11. This University will not be responsible for any delay or loss of the application/admission card/counseling
letter/any other communication in transit.
ISSUE OF ADMISSION CARDS :
1.
Admission cards for E.T. (B.Sc. Nursing)-2015 will be dispatched by post to candidates under certificate of
posting.
2.
Candidates must not mutilate the admission card or change any entry made therein after the University
authorities have authenticated it and received by them.
3.
In case a candidate does not receive the admission card by the date mentioned in the calendar of events he/she
should contact the examination centre on the previous day or the day of examination for collecting a duplicate
admission card. In such a situation, candidate should bring two copies of photograph along with him/her and
proof of submission / mailing application form.
The written examination will be conducted at the center between 1100 hrs. to 1300 hrs. on the date mentioned in
the calendar of events. The candidate must report at the center at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time of
commencement of examination.
2.
The candidate must take their seats in the examination hall at least 15 minutes before examination starts.
3.
No. Candidate will be admitted to examination hall without the admission card.
4.
A candidate will not be allowed to carry any textual material, printed or hand written, chits or any other material
except the Admission card inside the examination hall. Candidate will not be permitted to bring calculators,
Mobile Phones or any other object/ device that is likely to be unfair assistance.
5.
No candidate will be allowed to go outside the examination hall during the entire duration of examination. Once
the candidate leaves the hall (even for answering a call of nature) he/she will not be readmitted to examination
hall without any exception.
6.
Candidate should maintain perfect silence and discipline in the examination hall. Any conversation or
gesticulation or disturbance in the examination hall shall be considered as misbehavior and the candidates
involved in such a behavior shall be expelled from the examination hall.
7.
A warning bell will be given at the beginning of the examination and also to mark the half - time of the
examination period. A bell will also be given 10 minutes before the closing time.
8.
The examination will be of 2 hours duration and will consist of one question paper of 100 marks.
NATURE OF TEST
TEST BOOKLET :
1.
The candidate will be provided with a sealed test booklet with an answer sheet. The candidate will write with
blue/black ballpoint pen the required information regarding. Roll no., name and centre of examination on the
Test Booklet without opening the seal.
2.
The candidates are advised not to open the seal of the same before they are instructed to do so by the invigilator.

3.
In the Test Booklet, there will be 100 items/questions serially numbered from 001 to 100. Each item will be
followed by four responses marked A, B, C, & D. Out of these four responses only one will be correct or the most
appropriate which is to be selected and marked on the answer script.
4.
The candidates will have to return the question paper booklets along with answer sheets to the invigilator after
completion of the test.
An answer sheet will be given to the candidates along with test booklet at the time of test.
2.
This answer sheet will be special type, which will be scanned mechanically by optical scanner, so the candidates
should handle the answer sheet very carefully.
3.

This side of the answer sheet begins with instructions for marking the responses. The following information is then to be
filled in with a ball point pen only neatly and accurately

This side is to be used for marking responses to questions numbered 001 to 100. After every question number,
four circle numbered A, B, C, & D are provided for this purpose.
The candidate must indicate his/her response to the question by darkening the appropriate circle completely with
HB Pencil Blue or Black ball point pen. For example.
The correct response is (D). The candidate will locate question number in the answer sheet and darken the circle
(D) as shown below.

If the candidate darkens more than one circles or if he does not mark his response as shown above and marks his
response as shown below, his response will be treated as wrong and will not be given marks.

Note : Please use HB pencil or Blue or Black ball point pen only for writing/marking particulars on Side - 2 of the
answer sheet.

The candidates are advised to decide the answer before they mark it on the answer sheets. He/She must ensure
that the circle is completely darkened with HB pencil or Blue or Black ball pen only. A lightly darkened circle is a
wrong marking and will be rejected by the optical scanner.
4.
If the candidate does not want to attempt any particular question he/she is advised not to touch any of the circles
given against that question.
5.
The candidate must not fold the answer sheet and should not make any stray marks it.
6.
A specimen copy of the answer sheet is given at Annexure III. Candidates are advised to go through it and get
conversant.
CHANGING AN ANSWER :
1.
If a candidate wants to change any answer marked by him/her on the answer sheet. He/she must completely
erase the existing mark. And then mark appropriate circle with HB pencil or Blue or Black ballpoint pen.
2.
Test Booklet number as filled in by the candidate in the answer sheet will be accepted as final for the purpose of
evaluation.
The University will prepare a common merit list for Nursing college at Pune, Navi Mumbai and Sangli of
candidates appeared for E.T. (B.Sc. Nursing)-2015. In accordance with the total marks obtained by them. The
seats will be allotted by merit.

In case two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the E.T.(B.Sc. Nursing)-2015 the inter merit of such
candidates shall be determined in the order of preference as under.

First preference to the Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the entrance
examination.
If equal the Candidates obtaining higher total marks in subjects of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English in the
12th standard qualifying examination.

Refund of Fees :
In case of cancellation of admission the refund policy will be as follows :
(1) In the event of student withdrawing before the starting of the particular course, the entire fee collected from the
student, after a deduction of the processing fee of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only) shall be refunded.
(2) If a student submits his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form (duly completed) within 15
calendar days from the date of commencement of the particular course, 10 percent of total amount of tuition fees
prescribed for the course will be deducted form the amount of tuition fee paid by him and the balance amount will
be refunded.
(3) If a student submits his application for cancellation of admission in a prescribed form (duly completed within 30
calendar days from the date of commencement of the particular course, 20 percent of the total amount of tuition
fees prescribed for the course will be deducted from the amount of tuition fee paid by him and the balance
amount will be refunded.
(4) If a student submits an application for cancellation of admission after 30 calendar days from the date of
commencement of the particular course, no refund will be made and Rule (5) may also be invoked. However, if
the application for cancellation of admission is submitted before the last date prescribed for admission, and if the
vacated seat is filled by another candidate, 25% of the amount of tuition fees prescribed for the course will be
deducted from the amount of tuition fee paid and the balance amount will be refunded.
(5) If any student admitted to any course leaves the course after the prescribed last date for admission of the
particular course no refund will be made and he will be required to pay full amount of tuition fees for the
remaining entire duration of the course.
Court Jurisdiction :
1.
Under no circumstances a change in examination centre once selected by the candidate will be allowed.
2.
Any legal matters arising out of the total admission process of B.Sc. Nursing through All India Common Entrance
Test of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed Univesity, Pune - 30 i.e. E.T.(B.Sc. Nursing)-2015 will be in the courts at
Pune, Maharashtra State.
