S.V. Electricals manufactures electrical distribution panel board, used at distribution level. The
company also provides maintenance and repair of electrical distribution panel boards. We also
undertake cable and panel board erection works.
S.V. Electricals is very much interested to have collaboration with technical institutes to strengthen the
R& D and consultancy wing of the industry. Here, we request the assistance of your faculty members/
experts for our industry in the form of consultancy work. Areas of work are substation design,
earthling, and panel board erection.

About R&D and Consultancy Services by ACE Engineering College:
ACE Engineering College was started in the year 2007. The college is affiliated to JNTUH. The college
constitutes of five engineering departments: Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics
and Communication Engineering (ECE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Civil Engineering
(CE), and Mechanical Engineering (ME). ACE Engineering Faculty has expertise in various research
areas of interest to the industry. The institute, through departmental research groups, encourages its
faculty to undertake R&D and consultancy work through which the faculty contributes toward the
industrial growth, strengthen institute-industry interface and enrich their professional experience. The
Research and Development wing acts as a liaison between the institute and industry/government/private
bodies to undertake R&D and consultancy projects with specific problem, which are of both short and
long duration. Broadly, the types of consultancy services being offered by the engineering departments
of the college are as follows:

Cause-and -remedy studies
Design of systems/components/processes
Development of industrial products/systems
Development of systems software/application software for offline/online applications.
Development of laboratories

consultancy work with S. V. ELECTRICALS on 06-06-2011.
This is to bring to the notice of the General Secretary, about the discussions between our college
experts and representative(s) from S. V. ELECTRICALS regarding the consultancy work to strengthen
the R& D and consultancy, for the benefit of both organizations.
1. S. V. ELECTRICALS approached us for doing consultancy work mainly in the areas of
substation erection and cables.
2. On institute has accepted their invitation and invited them for preliminary discussions regarding
the consultancy work.
3. A meeting is held with all Deans and HODs of our institute and the representative(s) of S. V.
ELECTRICALS on 06-06-2011 at about 11:00 AM, in the Principals chamber.
4. S. V. ELECTRICALS representative(s) placed the following requirements:
a. Substation design and erection
b. Panel board design and erection
c. Design of cables
5. Both the parties, agreed that:
a. The financial commitment for the consultancy work is Rs: 4, 50,000/- (Four Lakh Fifty
Thousand Rupees only). This includes taxes, if any.
b. It is agreed to provide the design of the substation and any other technical assistance
within one month from the date of agreement between both parties.
c. The agreement is valid for a period of one years starting from the date of MOU.
d. The same agreement may be renewed on further request from S. V. ELECTRICALS.
6. The terms and conditions, as enclosed, are approved by Prof. Y. V. Gopala Krishna Murthy
(authorized by college Governing Body).
7. S. V. ELECTRICALS representatives and Prof. Y. V. Gopala Krishna Murthy (authorized by
college Governing Body) mutually agreed for the amount mentioned in point 5.a above.
8. A draft copy of MoU is prepared, approved and signed by both parties.

Terms and Conditions of ACE Engineering College for carrying outhouse-R &
D/Consultancy work:
1. Number of Team Members: Minimum and maximum number of team members for doing the
outhouse R&D/consultancy is TWO and FOUR respectively. One of the faculty members will
be the main consultant. And the remaining member(s) will be the sub consultant(s).
2. The decision of the college management/principal is final in any aspect: cancelling the
consultancy work, replacement of the existing team members by the new members,
monetary issues, etc.
3. The mode of payment of the amount agreed upon in MOU, may be in the form of
CASH/CHEQUE/DD.
4. Distribution of Funds (earned from R & D/Consultancy work): Institute or college
share is
50 % , and consultancy team share is
50 % (Distribution of this share among the
team is left to the head of the department).

5. The work is to be completed by the consultancy team with in the stipulated time as agreed upon
by both the parties.
MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN
ACE ENGINEERING COLLEGE, Ghatkesar
AND
M/S S. V. ELECTRICALS, HYD
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
This MOU is between ACE Engineering College, Ghatkesar, here onwards referred
as party-1, and M/s S. V. ELECTRICALS, HYD, here onwards referred as party-2
with a primary objective of InstituteIndustry- Interface for mutual cooperation and
benefit for achieving a harmonious blend from both sides.
Following are the areas where we agreed to work together to achieve the objectives:
1. NATURE/SCOPE THE OF WORK
Party-1 agrees to provide consultancy work for party-2 in the following areas.

c. Design of cables
The financials, terms and conditions as discussed with the representatives of party-2 (minutes of
the meeting copy enclosed) are to be followed in complete fulfillment.
2. VALIDITY
The agreement is valid for a period as mentioned in the minutes of the meeting enclosed; this
comes into effect from the date of signing of this MOU and may be renewed after that
period, incorporating mutually agreeable modifications, if any, thereafter. The MOU

cannot be withdrawn in the middle of the course, currently in progress. However, either
party may withdraw from the agreement by giving a written notice of three months in
advance, subject to fulfillment of prior obligations otherwise surviving.
3. FORCE MAJEURE
Neither party shall be liable for nonperformance either in whole or in part of this MOU due
to reasons unforeseen and beyond its control. These reasons shall include and be limited
to strikes, lockouts, nationalization, acts of God, war and fire. In that event, the other
party will be notified immediately in writing detailing full facts of the case and both
parties will undertake to arrive at mutually satisfactory solutions to overcome the
difficulties arising out of these circumstances.
4. NON-DISCLOSURE
Except in relation to information that is already in the public domain or required by law, or
necessary for the performance of its obligations under this MOU and is accordingly
disclosed to its respective officers, employees, representatives or agents each Party must
not, without the written consent of the other party, directly or indirectly disclose to any
other person, use or permit to be disclosed for any purpose other than that contemplated
by this MOU, any information that is acquired by it about the other parties affairs under
this MOU, or as a consequence of the parties collaboration and must keep all such
information strictly confidential and ensure that its officers, employees, representatives
and agents keep any such information confidential. All the material utilized by party-1,
including rough work, for the said work should be handed over to the client, i.e. party-2
by party-1. ARBITRATION between both parties shall settle any dispute arising out of
any clause of this AGREEMENT through mutual consultations between them. In case a
settlement is not arrived at, such dispute(s) will be subjected to provisions of Arbitration
& Conciliation Act, 1996. The venue of arbitration shall be in HYDERABAD.
