Page

We have finally made it to the Home page. There are many

things you
can do on this page. Like setting personal goals for your
students, set
reading levels, add and remove studetns from classes. In
this video,
remember, we are just going to learn how to view and
print a coopy of
the accumulated points for each student during a time
period. Now,
you are going to left click the orange "Accelerated Reader"
button. A
pull-down menu will appear on the right of the orange
Accelerated
Reader button.

menu on the right.

Now move your cursor or arrow over the words

"Reports" and left click.

Once again, you are given many choices to choose from.

In this video,
we will choose "Reading Practice." So move your cursor of
arrow to the
words "Reading Practice" and left click.

picture of Report Options page

As you see, there are many options on this page divided

into two
sections. We are going to look in the second section
labeled "Additional
Reading Practice Reports." Look down the column to the
seventh row
which says "Student Points." Let's put the cursor or arrow
on the words
and left click.
You are, now, on the Report Options page. On this page,
you customize
customize your report. First, you will go to the first box
which says
"Select Students." You can either select one or more
students or you
can select the whole class. To select a student, move your
cursor or
arrow over the word "Students" under the white box. You
will then be
taken to another page which will list all of the students in
classes in
alphabetically order. To choose one or more students, just
left click
on the box by the students name. You will now left click
"Save Selection."
For this example, I will choose to select a whole class. To
select a class,
move your cursor or arrow over to the white box that says
"All School
Classes." You will move the cursor or arrow over the class
name you
want to view. I will select "2nd Seginack's, 2nd Seginack,
2014-2015."
Next, you will see "Reporting Parameter Group." Move the
cursor or
arrow over the white box to the down arrow and left click.
Honestly,
I never use this option. The next option is the "Rporting
Period" where
you can use the year to date option or you can choose
custom dates
depending on your needs. For this example, I will choose
"Custom

Dates." So move the cursor or arrow to the circle next to

the words
"Custom Dates" and left click. You will then move your
cursor or arrow
to the first white box where you can type in a date or you
can go to the
gray box beside the white box and left click the down
arrow which will
show a drop down calendar menu. Using the arrows at the
top you can
scroll to the month you want your report to start and then
move the
cursor or arrow down to the calendar and left click the day
you want the
report to begin. You will do the same for the end date for
your report.
Your next option will "Sort By." You can sort by students
which will list
the students in alphabetically or you can sort by the points
earned
which will sort from the most points earned to the least
points earned.
For this example let's leave it at "Students." The next
option is "Group
By," I never change this option because I always want to
view just one
class at a time. The next option "Page Break," I never use
either because
I always group my reports by class. The last option is "Print
Report
Options." I usually leave this option checked because it
shows how
you customized the report. Okay, now we are finally ready
to view the
report. At the bottom you will see a button labeled "View
Report,"
move your cursor or arrow over the words and left click.

Now you can view the report. The report shows the options
you for
this report, the class name and the students name. The
report, also,
shows the Points Earned, Points Awarded, Points Used and
Points
Available. To print this report, you will move your cursor or
arrow to the
bottom right of the report and a menu will appear. The first
option will
show you how the report will look on a piece of paper. The
second

option will show the report in the space you have opened.
The third and
fourth options are the zoom in and zoom out options.
Then, you have
the option to save the report and the final option is to print
the report.
Move the cursor or arrow over the picture of the little
printer and left
click and the report will print to the designated printer.
This concludes
my video on how to log in to Renaissance Place and print a
student
Points Report.
