Since CT acquires information differently than typical X-ray systems,

this innovative technology can better identify the composition

any angle to help operators better visualize contents and make

Analogic OnGuard CT systems facilitate a passengers journey

or weapon is detected, the threat is automatically highlighted with
a colored box and color-coded for fast, easy identification.

The goal was to bring the same level of Auto-EDS technology used
for all checked baggage at US airports to the security checkpoint.
The new system would also be used to identify other prohibited
items in carry-on bags.

Nothing gets past CT. Analogic CTs 3-D Continuous Flow technology and an
array of user-friendly 3-D image processing tools help security officers assess
threats for fast, accurate decisions. They can fully rotate images to the precise
angle and view they want -- and then improve those images with features
such as true-color imaging, edge enhancement, monochrome reverse and
high-resolution detailing.
Threat detection from every angle means nothing is hidden from view.

Why CT out-performs traditional X-ray

Analogic OnGuard CT systems facilitate a passengers journey
and help keep people moving. Theres no need to remove laptops
from bags, or 3-1-1 bags from carry-on items. If an explosive
or weapon is detected, the threat is automatically highlighted with
a colored box and color-coded for fast, easy identification.

CT is a superb technology in the sense

that it does allow you to view images
from so many different angles.

Analogic Checkpoint CT Systems scan the entire bag in one pass

creating hundreds of X-ray slices (compared to conventional X-ray
systems that create two or three images). A powerful reconstruction
computer then creates a 3-D image of the bags contents. Even at
higher detection standards, Analogic Checkpoint CT Systems have
been proven to detect smaller threats with lower false alarm rates.

OnGuard DualUse. The only system of its kind in the industry, the
innovative OnGuard DualUse system can be used for both checkpoint
and checked baggage applications. It is ideal for small- and mediumsized airports. In checkpoint mode, it can scan up to 450 bags/bins
per hour and more than 250 passengers per hour at peak capacity.
In checked baggage mode, it can scan up to 350 bags per hour.

OnGuard Streamline. This soon-to-be-introduced Checkpoint CT system is

a significant breakthrough, integrating unsurpassed detection capabilities
with low false alarm rates. With a surprisingly small footprint, false alarm
rates of less than 8% and a new totally simplified user interface, this
new system is projected to provide four times the detection effectiveness
of current AT systems.

OnGuard Cobra. Designed primarily for high-threat facilities, the OnGuard

Cobra system has been proven to significantly reduce secondary search
and rescan rates, while gaining high marks from operators for ease of use.

Your best measure of checkpoint efficiency isnt conveyor speed.

Analogic OnGuard Checkpoint CT
systems deliver an operational
availability of greater than 99%.

OnGuard CT systems accelerate the screening

process from the start by eliminating the need
to remove laptops from carry-on bags.

3. Fewer rescans

Capturing a complete volumetric image data set

for each carry-on in one pass virtually eliminates
time-consuming rescans an increasing
advantage as the checkpoint gets busier.

With OnGuard CT scanning, theres no need for

separate packaging and removal of liquids. Not
separating 3-1-1 items and laptops can cut bin
use up to 40% and greatly increase throughput.

4. Fewer secondary searches

Higher detectability, lower false alarm rates

and 3-D image rotation reduce secondary
searches. All threats are identified more clearly
and precisely, regardless of the clutter.
