INTRODUCTION

What is E-Commerce.?
Electronic commerce, commonly known as E-commerce or eCommerce, is trading in products or services
using computer networks, such as the Internet. Electronic commerce draws on technologies such as mobile
commerce, electronic funds transfer, supply chain management, Internet marketing, online transaction
processing, electronic data interchange (EDI), inventory management systems, and automated data
collection systems. Modern electronic commerce typically uses the World Wide Web for at least one part
of the transaction's life cycle, although it may also use other technologies such as e-mail.

The website (cartmydeal.com) is based on marketplace model based on real-time

vendor/product management ensuring the fulfillment of supply and demand based on orders. The seller on
the website will be provided with the seller panel to manage their stocks.

What is Seller Panel?

Seller panel is a platform for the management of the vendors in an efficient, effective and real-time
manner. It is exactly similar as UMS as its being used to manage the students and staff in a similar way
seller panel will be managing the orders, products. Yes but with the controlled permissions with a super
user to manage enlisted vendors.

OBJECTIVES

The scope of the project is to provide the real-time marketplace experience to the seller of the
website (CartMyDeal.com).

The end user of the project will be able to manage his inventory of his products and pricing of the
products.

Further user (vendor) on the website will be able to manage his pricing and will be able to get his
orders.

Many developed and developing ecommerce marketplace websites like snapdeal.com, flipkart.com,
amazon.com, tradus.com are using the same kind of applications to manage their vendors and their orders
and interact with their vendors.

Current Progress
As the project is yet in the developing stage the login page is ready to be displayed and can be checked @
htttp://seller.cartmydeal.com. But this is just an overview of the panel. As the company doesnt allow to
display the vendor and company sensitive data publically. Further modules will be brought in your sight
after the completion of the project.

The current scenario and development stages has been identified and are being
developed following the below processes.
