Courseoverview:mentiontheimportanceandneedsofthiscourseintwoor
threeparagraphs.
The course contain basic information of design of reinforced concrete in
whichitdealswithteachingthestudentsthefundamentaldesignmethodsthat
used in designing concrete members in framed buildings like (Beams, Slabs,
Columns,and.etc).Theimpotencyofthiscoursecanbeobservedinthereal
practice field because each building (Commercial or Educational or Residential
or..)needtobestructurallydesignedinordertobeconstructedinthesite.
CourseObjectives:identifyintwoorthreeparagraphstheimportantobjectives
ofthecourseandshowthosepointsthatstudentsshouldlearnattheendofthe
course.
CourseObjectives:
1. To understand different design approaches that used in concrete design
andtoselecttheproperoneforeachdesign.
2. Tounderstandthereasonofplacingreinforcementincertainlocationsin
concretemembers.
3. Topredictthebenefitsoflearning(Engineeringmechanics,Mechanicsof
Material, Concrete technologies, and Structural analysis) and to
understandtherelationofthesecoursesindesignofreinforcedconcrete
members.
4. To teach the students how to design individual members (Beams, Slab,
Columns.ect)byfindingthesuitabledimensionsandreinforcementfor
them.
5. To show the students about the standards that should be followed in
designofconcretestructures..
