The reason I joined JCI is because I believe the power of networking. Networking has long been
recognized as a powerful tool for business people and professionals. Undoubtedly, knowing more
people gives everyone a greater access and facilitates the sharing of information. In short, JCI is a
place where young people around the world meeting together and learning to be active citizens.
There are plenty of non-profit organizations in Malaysia. The reason I joined JCI was I realized JCI
members take initiative to solve local challenges, not just focus on charity or service, but on
sustainable impact significantly based on the concept of JCI Active Citizen Framework which
I found the most value of being a JCI member if compared to other organizations.
In just a period of 18 months, I have had a positive changed and learnt to be an outgoing person. I
spent my personal times attending JCI activities that aligned with JCI 4 leaning pillars, i.e.
Individual, Business, Community & International. Here are some activities I have attended as
photos shown below.

Being a new member for less than 2 months, I attended

JCIM 38th Annual National Convention at Sibu, Sarawak.

I attended 2014 JCI ASPAC at Yamagata, Japan.

It was a great experience and the most memorable trip for meeting many new friends from Asia Pacific.

It was an honor to meet Ismail Haznedar, 2015 JCI World President during the Japan Night in
Yamagata, Japan.

It was so fun in promoting Malaysia culture to JCI members from different countries. The purpose
of the night is to encourage them to visit 2015 JCI ASPAC in Sabah, Malaysia.

Being a new member of 14 months, it was an honor to me for being awarded as

2014 THE MOST OUTSTANDING NEW MEMBER
during JCIM 39th Annual National Convention in Klang, Selangor.

It was so meaningful but challenging when executing a community project where JCI Active Citizen
Framework is always come in minds. I spent my personal time & efforts in learning and writing eawards for my local chapters community project LOVE IS IN THE AIR (S.P.U.).
We are glad that we have been awarded:
THE BEST LOCAL CSR PROJECT
2014 BEST OF THE BEST PROJECT
Furthermore, it was so unpredictable that our project has even gained the world recognition:
2014 BEST LOCAL CSR PROJECT in JCI World Congress, Leipzig, Germany.

During the closing ceremony, I was so lucky to be awarded as THE MOST ATTIRE during that night.

I am glad that I have been elected as 2015 President, JCI Butterworth City. This is the group photo
of 2015 Board of Director. I would like to thank all members for giving me a chance to serve my
members and to the local community. I will try my best to be a good leader!
