DAILY NUGGETS FOR JOYFUL LIVING

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21 KJV
BECOMING A PERSON OF IMPACT
There once was a little boy who wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he
packed his suitcase with Twinkies and a six-pack of root beer and he started his journey. When he had gone about
three blocks, he met an old woman. She was sitting in the park just staring at some pigeons. The boy sat down next
to her and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the old lady
looked hungry, so he offered her a Twinkie. She gratefully accepted it and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty
that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered her a root beer. Once again she smiled at him. The boy was
delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word. As it grew dark, the boy
realized how tired he was and he got up to leave, but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around,
ran back to the old woman and gave her a hug. She gave him her biggest smile ever. When the boy opened the door
to his own house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, "What
did you do today that made you so happy?" He replied, "I had lunch with God." But before his mother could
respond, he added, "You know what? She's got the most beautiful smile I've ever seen!" Meanwhile, the old woman
also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace on her face and he asked,
"Mother, what did you do today that made you so happy?" She replied, "I ate Twinkies in the park with God." But
before her son responded, she added, "You know, he's much younger than I expected."
Someone once said, I like all my visitors; some when they come, and some when they go! Life is all about
Impacts. The best you can do for someone needing help today is to impact the person for good. Truly speaking, life
is beautified by impacts. Putting it under a different perspective is influence. You cannot influence someone unless
you have what they are looking for. From our frontline story, both the woman and the boy were looking for what
was not familiar to them. The boy hardly would see a smile even from his home while the woman was starved of a
simple innocent presence and hugs of a kid. When you meet the deprivation of another person in a dramatic way, it
creates a thought of God in that life. To the person, you might be an angel sent from God. You give the person a
reason to move on in life, knowing that no matter what life has to offer now, there is still hope. You will become the
whole world to the person; you become his sunshine in the winter and a cold drink at summer time. When you do
something that puts a smile on another persons face, you are like God coming down to the individual for a time of
sweet fellowship; you are an assurance to that person that life can and will be better than the experience of the
moment. You are like the blossoming flowers of the plantation and you are the birds that sing in the wake of the
morning when the sun is about to shower its sunshine. When you cast off your burden and look for people to impact
their lives for good, you are building for yourself a great reason to expect the beauty of another day. As a matter
of fact, when your reason to live and see another day is based on your desire to be the hope of another person, you
are reflecting the graceful nature of God to that person and Heaven will beautify you with more grace to fulfill
your calling in becoming a person of impact. Your reason to live is godly and you will have a reward from above.

From Philippians 1:21, Saint Paul said, For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. A good perspective to
the reason you are on earth today will immortalize you on earth when you exit this world to your home beyond.
When you are ushered into the bliss of eternity with angelic hosts singing their melodies to God, you will
experience a worm embrace from God for the lives you impacted while on earth. You will receive your crown
decorated with ornaments of gold that price on earth cannot purchase. When you peep through the windows of
history from Heaven, all you would say would be, Thank you Lord for making me to become the reason for the hope
in him, in her and her and in him. Beloved, this season of Christmas should build for you a reason why your life
must be used to influence for good, the people with hopeless inclines around you. Youve got to go out to the
highways of life, there you will find the destitute, the confused and the hurting; go out to the parks of the
unknown, where life is uncertain to the people you meet; go out to the jungles of despair, where the people can
hardly recognize their worth and there become the reason why someone would say to himself, his household and
friends, or whoever they meet in the day or at night, I have seen God today and She's got the most beautiful
smile I've ever seen!" Are you a young person? You are not left out either. Give someone a hope today, with
Twinkies and all your hugs, pure and undefiled and no matter how old they may be, their verdict would ever remain,
"I ate Twinkies in the park with God." "You know, he's much younger than I expected." Beloved, be impactful to the
people you meet from today, for you never would know how much your actions will reveal to them the reality of the
True God that you serve. When the day is done and gone, and the people are all transformed, little will never be
your wonder as Joyful Living Experience becomes your forever lot. Amen?
