It is basically a palace cum museum built in the traditional style of Hindu sculpture. It is also an
important landmark of Chandigarh, India. The museum belonged to the Chandigarh
Administration and Rotary club the highest authority of Chandigarh. In 1985 it also started
functioning as a museum and a club for entertaining children. A name called museum is run by
collaboration with other private clubs. The museum is one of the many jewels of Chandigarh and
has been home to many kids and young born artists. The portico of the museum is somewhat like
a palace overlooks the lagoon. Initially the arcade on the ground floor and the veranda above
were embellished with works from the 1400-1500s and it absolutely suits the environment for
kids. Entry to this Chandigarh Museum is through the waterfront of this place and it also serves
as an amusement and entertaining park for children.
Museum of Evolution of Life

A row arises when somebody talk about the Chandigarh Museum.
Inaugurated on the 13th day of August in year 1973, it serves as the place to
display the various forms of life in terms of biology as well as in terms of
botany. There are many forms in which the life exists and all the life forms
are depicted here in an unusual manner and had let it earn the name as the
Museum of Evolution of Life. It also comprises of various painting in the in
situated art gallery and comprises of some of the most fabulous work of few
undistinguishable painters. It had a complete set of data regarding the
different species of mankind and had an extraordinary collection of some
selected data which is required to understand the habitat in which the
humans are living in. It also covers the history from the starting of the Indus
Civilization.
