window in same manner to back
of house to the right of door.

Plastic Canvas House Form
Using diagrams as a guide, cut
plastic canvas the same dimensions as crocheted front, back,
sides, front entrance, sides of entrance and roof of front entrance.
With tapestry needle and length of
yarn, whipstitch plastic canvas
sections tog.
Place house on a piece of paper,

trace around. Cut 1 piece plastic
canvas in the shape of front of
house and front entrance, 3
inches deep. Cut 1 piece in the
shape of back of house, 3 inches
deep. Whipstitch base pieces to
bottom of house.
Place crocheted house over plastic
canvas house. With lengths of
yarn, tie house at top and bottom
corners, at the peaks of the roofs
and as needed to secure pieces.

Make 2
and white 4-ply yarn, starting at
peak, ch 32, sl st in 2nd ch from
hook, sl st in each rem ch

Chimney top edge will curl over.
With yarn needle and length of cherry
yarn, embroider candy cane spirals down each corner of chimney.
Sew chimney to roof in space provided, with short edge of chimney
with 4 sc sts toward peak of roof.
With crochet hook size G and white
4-ply yarn, sc the 2 roof sections
tog along peak.
Fluff a small amount of fiberfill to
resemble smoke, insert inside
chimney and apply a small
amount of glue to secure.
Icicle Edging
and white pompadour yarn,
working in front edge of roof in
ends of rows, attach yarn to last
shingle row, work 2 sc in end of
each shingle row, catching foundation in sts, work 2 sc in peak
of roof, ch 1, turn. (50)
Row 2: Sc in each sc across, decreasing 1 sc at peak of roof, ch
1, turn. (49)

Row 4: *Ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch from
hook, 2 sc in next ch, sc in base

From plastic canvas, cut 2 roof sections. Whipstitch top edge of roof
sections tog. Whipstitch crocheted roof to plastic canvas
through Row 2 of icicle edging.
Base

Edging
Rnd 1: With crochet hook size G,
attach jockey red sport weight
yarn in any dc, ch 1, sc in same
dc as beg ch-1, sc in next dc, ch
1, sk next dc, [sc in next 2 dc, ch
1, sk next dc] rep around, sl st to
join in beg sc, fasten off.
Rnd 2: With crochet hook size G,
attach white pompadour yarn in
any ch-1 sp of Rnd 1, ch 2 (first
hdc), 2 hdc in same ch-1 sp as
beg ch-2, ch 2, sl st in top of last
hdc worked, [3 hdc in next ch-1
sp, ch 2, sl st in top of last hdc
worked] rep around, sl st to join
in top of beg ch-2, fasten off.
Cover plastic foam wreath with
crocheted piece.
Attaching House to Base
Cut 6 pieces of 1/8-inch dowel each
6 inches long. Position house
onto base. Insert 1 dowel into
each candy stick at corners of
house into base until top of dowel
is even with top of candy stick.
Place a small amount of glue at
base of each dowel under crocheted base section to secure.
Position roof on top of house. Glue
roof at front and back peak and
at each of the 4 corners on top
of candy sticks.
Glue entrance roof to top of candy
sticks.
Gumdrops
Note: Make 7 gumdrops scarlet/silver, 6 hunters green, 4 each mid
rose and canary yellow, and 3

each white and lilac.
and 2 strands of crochet cotton
held tog, ch 2, work 6 sc in 2nd
ch from hook, sl st to join in beg

Rnds 24: Ch 1, sc around, increasing 2 sc evenly sp around,

At the end of Rnd 4, fasten off.
Stuff lightly with fiberfill.
Glue 9 gumdrops evenly sp along
peak of roof.
Glue 9 gumdrops evenly sp along
base at each side of house.
Gumdrop bells
With scarlet/silver cotton, make 2
more gumdrops. Do not stuff
with fiberfill. Glue gumdrop bells,
centered, above back door. With
emerald green 4-ply yarn, make
a 1-inch bow, glue bow to top of
gumdrop bells.
Peppermint Candy
Make 7
and 2 strands of white crochet
cotton held tog, ch 4, dc in 4th
ch from hook, changing to 2
strands of Spanish red on last
step of dc, work 2 Spanish red
dc, [2 white dc, 2 Spanish red
dc] 3 times, sl st to join in top of
beg ch, fasten off.
Work 2 for each peppermint. With
tapestry needle, working in back
lps only, sew to sections tog.
To fasten to base, break off 1 pointed end of a toothpick, coat #/4
inch of blunt end of toothpick
with glue, insert blunt end of
toothpick through sewn seam of
peppermint. Insert pointed end
of toothpick into base, positioning as desired.
Lollipops
Note: Make 6 lollipops with crochet
cotton in desired colors. Lollipops are crocheted in spiral
fashion; do not join rnds.
Rnd 1 (Right side): With crochet
hook size D and 2 strands of MC
crochet cotton held tog, ch 2, 1
sc and 8 hdc in 2nd ch from
hook, do not join. (9)
Rnd 2: Work 2 hdc in each next 9

sts. (18)
Rnd 3: [Hdc in next hdc, 2 hdc in
next hdc] 4 times, hdc in next
hdc, hdc and sc in next hdc, sl
st in next hdc, fasten off.
Spiral Trim
and 2 strands of CC cotton held
tog, with right side of lollipop facing, insert hook through center,
holding cotton at back of lollipop,
yo, draw a lp through center,
working in spiral fashion through
sts around lollipop, [insert hook
between next 2 sts, yo, draw lp
from back through front and
through st on hook] continue to
rep around lollipop, fasten off.
Rep Rnds 14 for 2nd half of lollipop.
With tapestry needle and length of
MC cotton, holding wrong sides
of 2 sections of lollipops tog and
working in back lps only, whipstitch sections tog.
Cut a 6-inch length of 1/8-inch dowel.
Coat 1 inch along 1 end of dowel
with tacky glue, insert glue-coated end of dowel between layers
of lollipop. Place a small amount
of glue on opposite end of
dowel, insert dowel in foam
base, positioning as desired.
Gingerbread Men
Note: Make 3 gingerbread men;
2 sections will be crocheted
tog to form 1 at house front
and the rem section will be finished and attached to the back
of the house.
