3. (a) How do you measure the pressure with the help of U-tube manometer and
Micro manometer.
(b) Explain the working principle of Pirani thermal conductivity gaguge [8+8]
4. Show that there exists a linear relation ship between the volume flow rate and
displacement of float in the case of a rotameter .Prove that if the density of the
float material is made twice that of flowing fluid, the volume flow rate becomes
independent of the density of the flowing fluid and compression is almost complete
for all flows. [16]
5. (a) Describe the working principle of D.C.Tachometer generator and what are its
advantages and disadvantages.
