LOG INTO MAINFRAME AS BELOW: (This is totally related to code movement from

DEV TO INTG only)


APPLICATION NAME ( FOR DEVELOPMENT): DTSO (THEN PRESS ENTER, DONT FILL
ANY OTHER ATTRIBUTE)

Then you will be redirected to the following screen:

USERNAME: (THEN PRESS ENTER, DONT FILL ANY OTHER ATTRIBUTE)

PASSWORD: ******** ( press enter )

Press option g to get above option

Press p to get above screen

Press 31 to get above screen (this will take to endeavor)

In order to create a package to move code from development to Integration


environment, youve to choose option 4. Then you will be redirected to the above
screen.

Press P to view package related options as shown above:

Note: Please make sure that before you attempt to create a package, youve to
check whether it already exists or not. If it does exists, then give some other name.
Example: CM label that you have can be:
Please enter the information as follows to view the details about the existing
package:

As you can see from the above snapshot, many packages with same label are
created and now your responsibility is that you should not overwrite any of the
existing packages.
Note the status of package (COMMITTED, IN-EDIT, APPROVED, EXECUTED).
COMMITTED: YOU CANT MAKE CHANGES TO THIS PACKAGE
IN-EDIT: THE CREATION OF THIS PACKAGE IS IN PROGRESS
APPROVED: Package creation is complete. The status is approved. SO YOU CANT
SEE THIS IN INTEGRATION ENVIRONMENT.
EXECUTED: EXECUTION IS COMPLETE AND YOU CAN SEE THIS INTEGRATION
ENVIRONMENT

Now, Press F3 to navigate to previous screen.

Lets create a new package:. Enter package id and give 2 option to create package.

The above screen appears.

Enter some relevant DESCRIPTION about your project and then enter option B to
build the package.

Enter option 5 in the screen that appears. Now you are going to move the package.

Enter details of the element that you want to move from Development to
Integration.

Delete from element should be changed to Y

The screen will display SCL generated. So your package is created successfully.

Choose option 2 to add more elements into the package. Once required elements
are moved (as explained earlier) into the package, we can cast it.

Choose option 3 to cast the package created.

Enter option C to cast the package.

The cast is successful. Now we have to submit it to integration environment.

Enter option 5 to submit the package.

Enter option S to submit the package.

Points to note:

You have to enter S to submit the job.


is something you need to enter where text highlighted in yellow is your
mainframe login id.

The above screen confirms that your package has been submitted successfully.

The above screen shows that your job is executed successfully. Now, you can check
the availability of package in Integration environment. (Youve to go to display
package option information to view the above information)
