Beautiful, intense, enthralling, sad, disgusting, scary, provocative, awful, angerinducingThe Concept in 90 project asks you to create an exactly 90 second video
that illustrates some sort of abstract concept and induces some kind of emotion in
your viewer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTOfEv0nWfA
The requirements are:
1. Your video text must run 90 secondsno more, no lessincluding title
screen and credits.
2. Your video text must take a critical, reflective, and/or interpretive approach
(but not direct reporting or statements) to its subject matter, but it also must
have some sort of narrative, a bit of a story feel.
3. You must translate and use at least two (complex and approved) rhetorical
figures for video: see http://rhetoric.byu.edu
4. You must have some kind of audio track that rhetorically enhances your
video.
5. You must use at least two special effects but not gaudily.
6. You must have a variety of angles and zooms.
7. You must include a title screen somewhere in your video text. You must also
give yourself credit as the video artist/composer somewhere in the video text.
8. You must give credit for all materials used in your project.
9. You must include at least 40 seconds of video you shoot yourself.
10. You must have some stock footage found online that is copyright free and that
is cited in the credits.
11. Your concept must be creatively circumlocuted, be a little subtle, no one in
the video should say, the concept of x, y, z is very interesting.
