2. When will the new TEL Series True Front Access sizes be available in the C&D on
line sizing program?
A) The run time data is currently being added to the on line sizing program and
will soon be available for use on the Cornet site.

3. When are the new sizes available for ordering and shipment?
A) The new size batteries are available to order immediately.
B) The delivery interval is typically 3 to 4 weeks ARO starting September 5,
2008.
4. What is the reason that additional sizes were added to the TEL Series?
A) These additional sizes allow customers additional True Front Access batteries
with increased capacity over our competition in similar footprint.
B) These additional sizes allow the C&D sales network to be more competitive
vs other manufacturers sizes when quoting Front Access type systems.
5. Are other sizes anticipated in the future?
A) Yes, C&D expects to offer additional Front Access sizes next year.
6. Is the existing TEL12-170F still being offered for sale?
A) Yes, for a short time. C&D will continue to offer the TEL12-170F until the
existing stock has been used up. Approximelty 750 TEL12-170Fs are
available. Once this inventory is used up, the TEL12-170F will be
discontinued.
6. What hardware kit is needed for the new True Front Access Batteries?
A) Part Number 15029221, 30046793 consisting of 2x -20 0.5 in long 5/16 hex
head bolts and 2x 0.275 in inside diameter washers.
7. What bus bars will be used?
A) The TEL12-160FW uses 15029220 (30046795) and the TEL12-160F &
TEL12-180F will use the 15029219 (30046794).
8. What are the True Front Access Batteries Telcordia CLEI and CPR numbers.

9. What if a TEL12-170F needs to be replaced and only TEL12-180Fs are available.
A) Since both batteries have the same external footprint the TEL12-180F can be
used in place of a TEL12-170F battery. Only an adapter is required to match up
the fronts of the two batteries. The adapter part number 15029222.

10. How do the True Front Access batteries amp hour ratings match up with competitors
with similar footprint?
A) See Table 1 for all the individual True Front Access batteries & Table 2 for an
5 and 6 tier Ah comparison for the TEL12-180F.

12. What will the height be for the 6 Tier Relay Rack Bus only termination be and what
will the bus bar termination look like?
A) The height of the 6 Tier Rack will remain at 84 inches tall with a new angled top
bus bars (See Figure 1). Part numbers are soon be developed and released.

Approvals Agency
13. What other agency approvals is C&D testing the TEL series to meet?
A) C&D has tested new module configurations to NEBS Zone 2 seismic
standards. Once final reports are received, the True Front Access product line
will be approved to accommodate even more configurations at customer sites.
B) The True Front Access batteries are considered non-spillable thus not
regulated when properly packaged and identified during transportation.
C) The True Front Access battery series uses the same manufacturing materials
and processes as the other TEL series batteries therefore they also have the
Telcordia SR-4228 rating providing over 10 years of accelerated life testing.

14. What kind of display Dummy samples are available to show customers the True
Front Access product line?
A) Dummy batteries are available to ship immediately. Please contact George
Turner or Rita Biehl to obtain either sample type.
