Inabusinesscontext,thequestforprofitisareasonablecomponentofeachbusinessventure,sooften
ignoredandpassedallrequirementsofmorality.Thestudyofbusinessethicsisexpectedtoprovide
impactonstudentbehaviorasactorsofbusinessinthefuture,soitisexpectedthatthecoursewill
broadenstudentsthinkingthatwillcreateanactorsofeconomyandbusinessthatcanholdontomoral
virtues.

Classattendance:
Ontimeattendanceatallclassmeetingsishighlyexpected.Onehalfofyourclassparticipationgradeis

creditforthatday.Missingmorethan15minutesofclass(eitherthrougharrivinglateorleavingearly)
willcountasmissingtheentireclass.Peruniversitypolicy,excusedabsencesareonlygrantedincasesof
seriousillness(provedwithphysicianormedicaldoctorletter)orgravefamilyemergencies,andeachof
thesesituationsmustbedocumentedtooursatisfaction.Anystudentwhomisseshis/hergroup
presentationinrecitationduetoanunexcusedabsencewillforfeit50%oftheoralpresentationpoints
earnedbythegroup.Ifthereisawritten/homeworkassignmenttocompleteforclass(notedonthe
syllabus),failuretodotheassignmentwillresultinnocreditforattendancethatday.
