Divide the compressor flow by the different correction factors or multiply the
dryer nominal flow with the different correction factors.
Ex.: If a compressor delivers 100 m/h at 6
bar with an inlet temperature of 40C and
an ambient temperature of 30C your
dryer should be :100/(0.94 x0 .92 x 0.98)
=118 m/h.

Cycling Refrigerated Dryers

Why choose a cycling dryer ?
Cycling dryers are designed to SAVE ENERGY . A lot of new compressors
are designed with variable speed controls. The flow varies every minute
according to the need of the plant. Drytec true cycling dryers adapt the
energy consumption to assure energy savings. The average consumption in
the industry is thought to be between 30 and 50% of the full capacity of
the compressors. This means the annual saving can be equal, and the
dryer will pay back itself within a short period.
How does it works ?
Drytec SDC dryers have a water chiller inside. That means that the refrigerant system cools down the water/glycol mixture, and stores that liquid in a stainless steel storage tank. A pump is circulating this cold
water through the heat exchanger to cool down and dry the compressed air. If the dryer gets less than
90% of the rated flow, then the machine shuts down generating important energy savings.

Dryers for High Temperature

When choose a SDH dryer ?
Some compressors like piston ones dont have an aftercooler to cool
down the compressed air. Drytec offers a solution for these applications
with its SDH range with an inlet temperature that can go up to 100C.
The integrated aftercooler cools the air down to the ambient temperature before entering the drying part of the dryer. This solution saves
space and extra cost for a stand alone aftercooler.
This dryer also allows some OEM compressor manufacturers to design
their compressor without aftercooler. This can save space , time and
money.
