SCRIPTS:
SCENE 1 (GEPPETTOS SON)
Setting : Geppettos house
NARRATOR:

Once upon a time, there was a lonely carpenter named Geppetto.

GEPPETTO:

I wish I have a son so I wont feel so lonely. I have an idea! What if I


carve this tree branches and make it a puppet that look like a boy. At
least, I have someone that I can talk to.

NARRATOR:

After collecting the best tree branches that he could ever find. He worked
for hours, carefully carving each detail on the tree branches. Geppetto
gives the puppet a name and the puppets name is Pinocchio

GEPPETTO:

Now, the last part of Pinocchios body, your mouth and stop smiling at
me.

NARRATOR:

Geppetto pretend that the wooden puppet was making faces to him as
he was carving Pinocchios mouth but actually the puppet really moves
and suddenly

GEPPETTO:

Stop that, naughty boy [pointing his finger to the wooden puppet]

NARRATOR:

The puppet is moving (Audience : The puppet is moving)

GEPPETTO:

Stop that at once [looking confused]

PINOCCHIO:

I wont stop!

GEPPETTO:

You can talk! [shock]

AUDIENCE:

He can talk

PINOCCHIO:

Of course, I can talk. I have a mouth

TASK 1(b) ADAPTATION

NARRATOR:

Pinocchio become excited and he start to dancing around the table.


Geppetto thinks Pinocchio needs to go to school to start learning. So, he
asked Pinocchio to go to bed and sleep

GEPPETTO:

You are going to school tomorrow with the real boys and learn many
things but you must get some good night rest.

PINOCCHIO:

Okay, Father. Goodnight

GEPPETTO:

Goodnight My Pinocchio

SCENE 2 (PINOCCHIO GOING TO SCHOOL)


Setting : A street before the school
NARRATOR:

Pinocchio was walking to the school until he saw a puppet show. Instead
of going to school, he went to see the puppet show.

PINOCCHIO:

Oh, I can dance and sing better than these puppets and I dont need
strings like they do. [dancing]

NARRATOR:

And he went to the back of the stage and climbed onto the stage and
started dancing.

PUPPET MASTER:

Get off my stage! [looking angry]

NARRATOR:

The crowd liked Pinocchio. The Puppet Master did not say anything.
Instead, he let Pinocchio stay. (Audience: Hooray, hooray!)

PUPPET MASTER:

Then take these copper coins. You danced very well.

PINOCCHIO:

Thank you, sir.

SCENE 3 (THE CAT AND FOX)


Setting : Under a tree near a restaurant
NARRATOR:

Pinocchio did not go very far. Then he heard the Cat and The Fox were
calling for him

CAT:

Come with us. Well teach you how to turn those copper pieces into gold.

NARRATOR:

The Cat was lying to Pinocchio. All they wanted Pinocchios coins

FOX:

Come with us. Well teach you how to turn those copper pieces into gold

TASK 1(b) ADAPTATION


PINOCCHIO:

Show me where [looking excited]

NARRATOR:

The Cat and Fox pointed at the ground under a tree. Pinocchio dug a
hole and put the sack in it, marking the spot with a stone.

CAT:

Good job.[smirking]

FOX:

We have to wait one hour before the copper coins turn to gold coin, now,
lets go eat.

NARRATOR:

So they went to eat. But the Fox and Cat quickly ran away and disguised
themselves as thieves. They hid by the tree waiting for Pinocchio to
come back and dig up the money.

PINOCCHIO:

The Fox and Cat are missing and I need to pay for the food. Wait! I have
my coins.

NARRATOR:

Pinocchio remembered that he did dug a hole and put his coins inside so
the coins could turn to gold coins. After Pinocchio dug up the coins, they
attacked him.

CAT:

Give us your money!

NARRATOR:

But Pinocchio resisted giving the sack of coins to them.

FOX:

Give us your money!

NARRATOR:

Then the Blue Fairy appeared with Rufus, the Giant Dog. The Blue fairy
told Rufus to chase the fox and cat away, and they did. After that,
Pinocchio was taken to Blue fairys castle.

BLUE FAIRY:

Why didnt you go to school today? [smiling to Pinocchio]

PINOCCHIO:

I did go to school (Audience : No, he did not go to school)

NARRATOR:

Then Pinocchios nose shot out.

PINOCCHIO:

What is happening to my nose? [touching his nose]

NARRATOR:

And he started crying.

BLUE FAIRY:

Every time you tell a lie, your nose will grow. When you tell the truth, it
will shrink. Now, go straight home and dont stop for any reason and
remember, Pinocchio, you can only become a real boy if you learn how
to be brave, honest and generous.

TASK 1(b) ADAPTATION


SCENE 4 (THE NAUGHTY BOYS)
Setting : Pinocchios Neighborhood
NARRATOR:

While Pinocchio was on his way home, he met two naughty boys.

BOY 1:

Come with us.

BOY 2:

We know a wonderful place filled with games, giant cakes, pretty


candies, and circuses. (Audience: games, giant cakes, pretty candies
and circus)

PINOCCHIO:

Lets go

NARRATOR:

Instead of going home, Pinocchio followed the two boys. But little they
know

BOY 1:

What happen to me?

BOY 2:

I am changing

PINOCCHIO:

Ah

NARRATOR:

They change into donkeys. A Circus Master passed by and when he saw
the three boys

CIRCUS MASTER:

Donkeys just what I need for my circus.

NARRATOR:

He took the boys but not Pinocchio

CIRCUS MASTER:

Youre ugly! [looking at Pinocchio] I might as well throw you to the sea

SCENE 5 (PINOCCHIO AND THE GREAT WHALE)


Setting : Ocean and inside the great whales stomach
PINOCCHIO:

Help! I could not swim any longer. [painting]

NARRATOR:

Then a great whale swallowed the weak Pinocchio and Pinocchio


floating in the middle of the dark great whales stomach. All of a sudden,
there was a bit of light.

PINOCCHIO:

Theres a light! [weak] Whos there by the light?

GEPPETTO:

Pinocchio, is that you? Ive been looking for you.

PINOCCHIO:

Father, lets your raft. I will tickle the whale from its stomach.

TASK 1(b) ADAPTATION

NARRATOR:

They fixed the raft and Pinocchio tickle the whale stomach.

PINOCCHIO:

Hold tight, Father. When he sneezes, hell blow us out of here.

NARRATOR:

Geppeto and Pinocchio finally got out from the whale and went home.
They were tired. Geppeto tucked Pinocchio into his bed.

GEPPETTO:

Pinocchio, today you were brave, honest and generous. You are my son
and I love you.

PINOCCHIO:

Thats what the Blue Fairy told me, she told me that I need to be brave,
honest and generous to be a real bo [yawning]

NARRATOR:

Pinocchio drifted off to sleep. The next morning Pinocchio came running
down the steps, jumping and waving his arms to Geppetto.

PINOCCHIO:

Look Father, Im a real boy!
