Studies carried out in the framework of the PhD of A. Soufi, entitled :

LNE
C

Durability study of mortar patch repair in marine environmental conditions

[2009-2012]

Financed by the Poitou-Charentes region

In the framework of the DuratiNet project

The objectives are to study, compare and evaluate the performances of six
industrials mortars patch repair :

Intrinsic permeabilties of MPR are

The Deff of BC mortars are ten times smaller than

The Deff of PB mortars and OC are similar

Proportion of polymer (~5%) is insufficient

to decrease the Deff significantly

According to the Poiseuille's law, the

Intrinsic permeabilty depends on both :

Deff is function of the porosity, the pore mode and

the polymer proportion

Conclusion

Physical properties

LNE
C

MPR presents high porosities with monomodale pore size distribution

Transfer properties

Water absorption, intrinsic permeability and chloride diffusion in MPR depend on proportion
and nature of polymer, the main pore size and the pore size distribution
