ASSESSING THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES OF A


MODERN MINING ENGINEER
Objective: This survey is designed for mining industry personnel with the objective
of enlisting their views on what the essential generic and specialist skills and
attributes are required from a modern mining engineer. The result of this survey will
then be used to enhance the knowledge and skills of graduate mining engineers
produced by Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and
Management Sciences (BUITEMS).
