In this Customizing activity, you use the feature QALEG to determine the legal compensation amount for
employees injured by occupational hazards.
You set the compensation amount as the return value. By doing so, during the payroll calculation, the
system reads this feature to determine the compensation amount and makes the corresponding
payment to employees.

The feature is used in Payroll to refine absences for valuation or for Statistical purposes.
The return value of the feature is the date for the production startup in the format YYYYMMDD.

In this activity you determine per rule group for the refinement of absences which individual rules for
the relevant employees should lead to a refinement of absence evaluation.
You can define the individual rules depending on seniority or age. You store the meanings of the
individual rules in the SAP enhancement HRPTIMAB or they are in the country-specific function module
HR_COV_DETERMINE_MARK_xx.
It is recorded here which content should lead to an absence being recorded and what this marker should
look like.

In this activity you group employees who should be handled in the same way during the refinement of
absences. In the feature COVER (Determine rule group for the refinement of absences) you determine
how these rule groups should be structured using the organizational assignments or absence types.

In this Customizing activity, you can distribute the valuation for absent days by defining up to three
absence valuation rules. When the maximum number of days you set for the first valuation rule is
exceeded, the system automatically applies the following valuation rule to the payroll calculation.
