PROFILE 1:
Worked as a QC Inspector in Samnan Marine Consultants, Dubai from December 2013
to December 2014.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

Monitor the Welder performance and conduct visual inspections of welds and repairs of
welds in accordance with Company procedures and international codes of practice.

Check, inspect and test incoming welding and construction materials to ensure they meet
project specification requirements.

Monitor the construction process from all aspects to ensure performance meets job quality
and design requirements in accordance with Company procedures and international
standards.

Co-ordinate with clients to undertake Procedure Qualification Tests (PQT) and inspections
of prepared test specimens and witness destructive tests.

Identify and prepare Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) & PQR for jobs as per project
specifications and verify Welders meet PQR requirements.

Collate all relevant documentation for the job and apply the data to the creation of a Test
Pack to undertake pre-hydro test inspection activity.

Undertake verification of welding machines to ensure equipment meets job requirements


specification and provide verification of electrode baking and holding temperature
including control and issue.

Conduct fit up and dimension inspections as per Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and to
provide technical guidance for welding sequence and distortion control.

Survey erection, construction and equipment for alignment and plumbness in accordance
with drawings and specifications.

Prepare all equipment punch lists and verify all items are in place and act as an agent for
the Company during punch list activity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Studying the drawing and Monitors the Project activities and requirements in accordance
with ITP or QAP/QC plan.
Familiar with Material planning and Cutting Plan / Layout preparation.
Randomly Inspect filler materials and check its documents, to ensure that the proper
electrodes are in accordance with the approved welding procedures. Check the typical
certified material test report (C.M.T.R.) when purchased, the proper storage, and the system
on controlling and distributing the electrodes.
Monitoring and inspecting the prefabrication works by the contractors including the
inspection of incoming materials, material handling, heat number transfer, Fit-up, welding
activities, Post weld heat treatment (PWHT) of welding joints, hardness test, PMI (Positive
material identification), reinforced pad test and Orientation.
Witnessing and monitoring the required NDE has been covered as per the project
specification. Monitoring the QA/QC Documentation of the contractors and ensure that all
the activities are incorporated to their system on daily basis and can be traced according to
our requirements.
Monitoring and inspecting the erection works by the contractors including piping, welding
and insulation and also co-ordination with contractors for the quality issues and issuing
NCRs when non-conformity activities were noted by the contractors.
Ensure satisfactory identification of materials, proper protection of piping and fittings.
Verify proper size and schedule of pipe, rating of flanges, proper flange face and fittings.
Ensure that pipe supports, hangers and guides have been installed in accordance with the
piping drawings and the pipe support details.
Witness final pressure tests, including verification that pressure gauges have adequate dial
range and is calibrated.
To assist the Site Superintendent and coordinate the Supervisors activity, carry out and
implement the QA/QC program, arrange and conduct meetings under the Site
Superintendent direction.
Format and encode QC data sheets, inspection forms, and other QC documents as per Field
Quality Control Manual suggested forms into the computer. Preparing the QA/QC for the
project Assist document turnover and transmittal during project completion
Co-ordinates with customers, TPI, Certify authorities and other department leads.
