Preventive Maintenance Work Orders :

EAM enables you to generate WO automatically based on meter readings, runtime

intervals and calendar days.
this reduces the probability of failure or degradation of the assets physical conditions.
executed periodically by usage or based on the condition of an asset number.
can execute the generate preventive maintenance wo process.
Rebuild WO:
Rebuild WO are created as child Work Orders.
for example : a WO was issued for the inspection of a pump
during pump inspection you found that the motor one of the components of the pump
is problematic
you have two options
you can repair and reinstall the motor (rebuildable item)
you can replace the rebalance item by issuing a new motor rebuilable item from
inventory
if you choose to perform a material issue from inventory the old motor rebuilable item
attaches to the work order automatically creating the child
rebuild WO number associated to the parent WO
if you choose to repair and then reinstall the problematic motor rebuildable items
you can manually create the child rebuild WO for the old motor
work orders >> rebuildable WO

eAM Work Order Statuses:

EAM WO may progress through several statuses throughout its lifecycle duration
wo might start at a draft status
then move to Released
complete
and finally closed

easy wo are created in Relaased status by passing the draft status

WO Relationships:
wO relationships nable you to manage a network of related WO
enabling you to manage complex projects such as planned or facility shutdowns.
different relationships provide separate scheduling rules that are used to manage
large projects
valid relationsips
parent child::: enables a network of WO which includes one top level work
order that defines the time line of all its children WO
the start and end dates of the child WO are within the start and end dates of the
Parent WO
end to start dependency:::: you can create WO with scheduling dependency
relationships
one wo scheduled start is dependent on another WO completion they should be
siblings sharing a common parent
cost relationship:::: you can optionally roll a child work orders costs into the parent
WO for reporting purposes.
follow up work
you can create a WO for a capital asset number or rebuildable item while executing
work for the sset on another WO
Capitalizing WO:
you can capitalize part or all of the costs incurred, while maintaining an asset.
The assets book value and useful life increment with the additional value,

enter a capitalization % for the costs associated with the selected items and
resources

optionally change the defaulted offset account

choose initiate capitalization to execute a concurrent process that capitalizes the
current work orders mantained assets associated FA with the calculated amounts.
