MOTIVATION LETTER

Right from infancy I was raised up by a single parent. My mother being a petty trader had to go
through thick and thin to ensure that i get the best out from my education. Coupled with this
difficulty I also live in a community where education is believed to belong to only the rich in the
society. In spite of this foible I never relented in my academic laurels till I passed my SHS with
good grades to pursue further studies in the university. I have always worked in a challenging
environment yet I always come out of the blue. I must say my success in education was not
achieved on a silver platter.
Owusu Agyeman Antwi is my name a student of Ghana Technology University collage. I gained
admission in 2008 to pursue a two years program in Diploma in Telecommunications
Engineering which I passed with a first class honors (distinction) with GPA of 72.73 and
eventually emerged as the overall best student and with this outstanding performance I gained
admission in 2010 to pursue a two and half year BSC degree in Telecommunications
Engineering which I have successfully completed. After completion of my BSc Degree, I was
appointed in my home university to do my national service as a lecturer assistance where assisted
my lectures and taught courses like mathematics, electromagnetic interference and wireless
broadband technology and this was as a result of the hard work I put up during my academic
studies.
The knowledge acquired during my studies has really broadened my mind to be able to think
critically and analyze complex engineering problems and come out with outstanding solutions. I
therefore know that the knowledge I have acquired throughout my studies in telecommunications
engineering will be of merit to your university when admitted
I know for a fact that studying in your university will be a turning point in my academic life,
equip me with engineering and practical skills and also provide me with a backbone to utilize
my full potentials of leadership and entrepreneurial skills to set up my own telecommunication
engineering firm to meet global standards.
Therefore, with my multiplexed academic background, I strongly believe that I will be able
perform excellent in the chosen program and do more advance work in the telecommunication
sector if am trained in your institution.
Thank you for considering my application, I look forward to your positive response.
Yours sincerely,
Owusu Agyeman
