Procedure
C: Hello class! How is everybody feeling?
C: Today, we are going to learn about the weather! *introduce
vocabulary with flashcard posters*
D&C: points to each vocabulary Class, I will say the words and
please repeat after me!
First time, class only repeats. Second time, they do action and
repeat
D&C: Today we are going to sing a song!
Weather song (Happy Birthday tune):
Rainy, cloudy, sunny
Snowy, foggy, windy.
There are 6 weathers
Im singing to you.

Main
(25 Minutes):

Activity 1: (5 minutes) 4 Corners


Get students to stand in the middle of the class (Daisy gives
directions)
Students will ask the teacher What is the weather?
The teacher will say one of the weather vocabs
Children will then fast-walk to the correct picture
Whichever student taps the correct picture first will receive a
point.
Activity 2: (12 minutes) Pass the ball (Cathy gives directions,
both moderate)
Students will be split into two teams for the game
Two balls will be given to pass around per team
Students will be sitting in a circle as the ball is passed around

until the teacher says STOP


The teachers will hold up a flashcard showing a picture of a
weather
Students who have the ball will ask the person to the right what
is the weather today? and the person will answer the weather
is ____.
The two students with the ball will come to the front and do
rock-paper-scissors
The winner will have a chance to shoot the ball in the bin, if in,
the team gets a point
Both teachers will be in charge of moderating each of the teams

Activity 3: (8 minutes) Speed Writing (Daisy gives instructions,


Cathy moderates)
Students will be split into 4 groups of 3
The teacher will say: the weather is _____.
Students will write down the word and whichever group has the
word written down all together the fastest will get a point (Cathy
checks for accuracy)
Conclusion
(5 Minutes )

C: Review todays lesson: vocabulary and key expressions


C: Say bye-bye!
