Purpose
Working on BUNACs Ultimate Australia programme, this role involves assisting BUNAC customers
in an array of work experience opportunities primarily in Australia. The role requires a professional
approach and involvement and commitment to all aspects of the Ultimate process; including
marketing, sales and administration of BUNACs Work Abroad Ultimate programmes. This is a new
programme BUNAC are launching and the involvement of the successful candidate will be
instrumental in the success of the Work Australia Ultimate process.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Placement process

Understand needs and requirements of overseas employers to successfully assist


customers with finding employment before their departure overseas. From marketing
employers and positions to finding suitable applicants to fulfil agreed employer needs, and
ensuring jobs are accepted.

To handle calls from prospective and current full placement participants, promoting job
positions, screening applicants for suitability, and managing job expectations

Liaise and oversee virtual (Skype and Telephone) hiring events with overseas employers.
Work towards deadlines to fulfil employer quota, whilst maintaining a reputation of providing
the right staff to the right employers.

Work alongside the placement manager, and in-country key contacts throughout the hiring
process to maintain and develop employer relations.

Assist the UK Placement team with US, Canadian and UK placement tasks during peak
periods of the year.

2. Sales & Marketing

Oversee sales and marketing tasks around the Work Australia full placement process,
taking ownership of updating web copy and job information using our bespoke content
management system.

Deliver informative and engaging training sessions to STA UK branch Travel Experts,
giving them the tools to effectively sell the Work Australia full placement programme, as
well as being the point of contact for follow up training and enquiries.

Make outbound sales calls to customers enquiring about BUNAC programmes

Attend and participate in BUNAC marketing events (e.g. presentations, orientations,


exhibitions) throughout the UK.

3. Programme Administration

To develop and maintain accurate database & record keeping on full placement job
updates

To manage all day to day correspondence with full placement applicants and participants.

To work within the visa requirements & changes to the programme that may be introduced
during the year.

To assist with the processing of all enquiries & programme/visa applications, either by post,
e-mail, web or telephone during peak business periods.

Assist the Placement Manager to produce accurate figures/statistics in order monitor the
various programmes throughout the year.

Expectations
A sense of involvement with BUNAC's overall objectives.

Flexibility and readiness to assist in any aspect of programme administration or sales and
marketing as required.

Have a commercial approach to ensuring BUNAC meets participant targets across all
programmes

Giving priority to quality of service to BUNAC customers in all dealings with them.

Careful, accurate and organised record-keeping and financial transactions (both on paper
and electronically).

The ability to work with initiative including prioritising work load so that all enquiries and
applications are dealt with in a timely manner.

A willingness to work within a structured office routine as well as the ability to accept
variation from this routine when necessary at the request of a manager or director.

Attending and actively participating in Staff Meetings.
