Case No. 1: Alma Electronics: Ill Dream of You

I.

Summary
Mr. Mallari has been a successful man in his line of business, in which he started
from a small shop selling transistors branching out several stores from the same
province that sells electronic parts and repairs electronic materials. Meeting his
former classmate, Mr. Chan, who is also a successful man in his line of work as an
owner of a well-established appliances assembly plant, made him to think of doing
his own assembly plant following the footsteps of his friend. Now, Mr. Mallari is
considering the idea of sending his three sons into an engineering school hoping that
this would help him persuade them to help his dream of establishing his own

for his children that will make them help him in his dream of assembly plant.
Alternative Courses of Action
Tell his sons about his dream of establishing an assembly plant and ask them
to enroll engineering courses such as Electronics Engineering and Electrical

Engineering into any of the Big-4 Universities in the Philippines.

Tell his sons about his dream and ask them to enroll in any engineering

courses in the university of their choice even outside the Big-4s.

Tell his sons about his dream and ask them to get any business related courses
such as Accountancy and Business Administration into any of the Big-4

Universities in the Philippines.

Tell his sons about his dream and ask them want course (program) they want
to get in college and in what university they like to enter, taking consideration
the fact that hell respect any of their choices.

IV.

Justification (chosen alternative)

Having a great children like what Mr. Mallari has is a great achievement for the
parents. As much as he wanted them to enter in an engineering school because it will
really help him to make his dream a reality, he still should consider what his three
sons would like to be in the future (4th Course of Action), though they are really doing
well in their studies. They might not get the programs that will help their father in the
future in handling the said establishment but still they might give their father enough
support in funding it and other aspects in business once theyve finished their studies.
He had his own time making his dream into a reality, evidently showed as his
growing electronic store business, so he should also give his children their own
choice for the opportunity of making their own dream come true.
