and they are always at 6 pm in our Library. Next meeting is 2/3/15 at 6 pm in Library. Notes from the meeting:

Discussed a Blood Drive on February 12th, a Family Bingo Night in our MP Room, and reviewed minutes along with the
PTAs budget report.
PTA is looking to possibly begin a school beautification committee to work on graphics for our building, the Fun Run
brought in approximately $14,000.00 in profit for our PTA which supports our school projects and programs (such as
AR and Math Facts in a Flash).
The PTA purchased half of the new soccer goals and gym-n-ee hoops to be installed on our campus.
Our Reflections Assembly has a tentative date of 1/28/15 and will be in the morning in our MP Room. We had 266

David M. Cox Zoning News/Update: After receiving conflicting emails/flyers, Ive finally gotten a confirmation which IS
accurate! We are up for a rezoning! This WOULD IMPACT our current classrooms! We are up for a proposal to receive
approximately 94 students from Hill and Weiner Elementary Schools. This boundary would include houses on the west
side of Eastern up to Spencer between Warm Springs and Windmill. Although our building is just under capacity that does
not mean that those students would go into the 3 empty portables, this impact would affect all classrooms both in and out of
the building. Should we receiving the full 94 students, we would be at max capacity. Rezoning does not take into
consideration Zone Variances, and with rezoning, the possibility of NOT allowing zone variances due to overcrowding
would have to be considered. The school and its employees have NOTHING to do with rezoning decisions all questions may
be taken to AZAC Committee http://azac.ccsd.net or call 702-799-0239.

Semester Ends on Friday: Our first semester ends this Friday and all grading is final on the 20 th. We will be having Honor
