Introduction
Hook: The American Revolution has been the most important event in
U.S history due to the changes it brought with it up to present days.
Knowing its causes would help you determine whether if you are in favor
or against the American Revolution. So if you were to live during that
time period in the U.S.A would you be in favor or against it? Through
facts and details I will let you find it easier to have a clear and solid
point of view.
Background Information: The American Revolution was a political and
social disturbance that took place during the 18th century in which
rebels from thirteen different American colonies rejected the ideals of
British Empire established in America. Monarchy, and aristocracy were
some of the main causes of the beginning of this revolutionary act,
which later on became a war.
Thesis: The American Revolution happened due to the unfair occurrence
the British Empire had over the American colonies which led to a
different outcome on the history of U.S.A and world history in general
that would benefit society up to now days.

Body Paragraphs
Stamp Act: It consisted in the validation of a new money currency that
was only produced by London, which meant the local colonial currency
was no longer active or legal. Occurring in 1765, it required Americans
to pay a taxes for the British army. The Americans said they didnt need
the British army to protect them from anything, they could do it alone.
Boston Massacre: The Boston Massacre consisted of a murder of 5 male
innocent civilians that British soldiers killed due to a verbal fight the two
sides had. This produced heightened tensions throughout the thirteen
colonies.
Boston Tea Party: Was the culmination of a resistance movement
throughout British America against the Tea Act. Colonists objected to the
Tea Act because they believed that it violated their rights as
Englishmen to "No taxation without representation," that is, be taxed
only by their own elected representatives and not by a British

parliament in which they were not represented. Protesters had

successfully prevented the unloading of taxed tea in three other
colonies, but in Boston, embattled Royal Governor Thomas
Hutchinson refused to allow the tea to be returned to Britain.
Bill of Rights: It was a restatement in statutory form of the Declaration
of Right presented by the Convention Parliament to William and Maryin
March 1689, inviting them to become joint sovereigns of England. It lays
down limits on the powers of the Crown and sets out the rights of
Parliament and rules for freedom of speech in Parliament, the
requirement for regular elections to Parliament and the right to petition
the Monarch without fear of retribution. It reestablished the liberty
of Protestants to have arms for their defense within the rule of law.
Treaty of Paris: It consisted of the creation of a peace agreement
between U.S.A and Great Britain through other countries such as Spain,
France and Germany
Conclusion
Finally, the American Revolution brought a lot of positive changes to
society. The unjustifiable and atrocious acts the British Empire made,
gave rise to a revolutionary thought which later on became into an act.
This act made them a free country which could maintain itself and didnt
need to be sustained by Great Britain anymore. This motivated them to
create their own bill of rights which is still present today and be
recognized as a new country.
